@JoshLBarnett It’s super bad with kids I’m the sub 9 year old white belt category. Kids who should be blue belts staying 4 stripe white belts to crush young new bjj white belts to gain tournament wins and prop up their gym. Totally disgusting.

Hey Grappling/BJJ athletes: If you're good enough to compete with beat black belts regularly, then compete as one. Don't sandbag to win medals in divisions meant for those whose skills match what the division is mean to discern. Winning blue/purple/brown belt divisions years in a row when you should be competing against black belts is loser behavior.
