I’ve lived in Hyderabad for nearly 40 years. This is NOT the Hyderabad I know. I have never witnessed such a disturbing, shameful reality here. Watching this video of a young woman runner has deeply shaken me. The most heartbreaking part? She had to justify what she was wearing. A woman goes out for a run… and ends up defending herself instead of feeling safe. This is painful. This is unacceptable. As a Hyderabadi, I feel ashamed. And I want to say this : I’m sorry. This Is Hyderabad! Isn’t This Supposed To Be Safe?? A very agitated runner was seen asking in this video. She was running on the Hyderabad Cycle Track at 6am and a random sicko was behaving disgustingly. So, so, so…horrible!! Yes! Hyderabad is supposed to be a safe space and Cycle Track was always a lovely place to run, cycle and not be bothered. I do go to the Cycle Track often and what happened to her is just sad and scary. What is happening? And where the hell are the She Teams??? Policing has gone to the dogs!! The IAS & IPS officers are getting rotated like the spinning tops in the hand of a toddler. What I saw inside unisex gyms completely changed how I look at them. I used to train in a men only gym. It was simple, focused, and disciplined. Then I joined a unisex gym, and things felt completely different. At first, everything looks normal. Trainers helping, people working out, a healthy environment. But when you observe closely, you start noticing patterns that do not feel right. I saw people getting involved with married women. But when I explored more gyms, I realized that was not even the real story. The real involvement is between some trainers and married women. The way certain trainers hold women during exercises, the way they touch in the name of form correction. If a husband or boyfriend saw it himself, he would never be okay with it. Touching almost every body part and calling it training. This is not guidance anymore. This is crossing boundaries. And what is worse, many times it is not even stopped. Maybe trust. Maybe ignorance. Maybe something else. But that does not make it right. At the very least, unisex gyms should have female trainers. There should be clear boundaries and accountability. Because what looks like fitness from outside is not always safe inside.

A shocking incident has come from Bengaluru. A woman allegedly killed her boyfriend by tying his hands and legs, covering his eyes, and then setting him on fire on the bed in the name of a sexual act. The accused, 27-year-old Prema, was in a relationship with Kiran, also 27. They were in a relationship with plans of marriage, but the man was reportedly losing interest. This led to anger and a revenge motive. She called him to her room, saying they would spend time together. After gaining his trust, she tied his hands and legs and covered his eyes. A few minutes later, she poured petrol on him and set him on fire. After the burnt body was found, police started an investigation. The woman has now been arrested, and videos related to the incident were found on her phone. She has been sent to jail.
