@GaysForTrump The minute I heard BLM types were pushing for bodycams, I though, "Oh, PLEASE let this happen." One group supported bodycams because they knew the truth, while the supported them because they drank deeply of the manufactured narrative.

The best thing about George Floyd's death was that it resulted in the widespread use of police bodycams. The narrative spread by these people and BLM is forever changed because we see how they act, and their claims of police brutality are false.

@StealthQE4 I've been amazingly blessed. I'm in a field where a lot of folks my age have lost their job and it's been tough to find another one. Technically, I've got enough to retire now, but I'm a bit too young for Medicare. I'm hoping they'll keep me around 'til 65.

Boomer continues working into his 90s. Why? He doesn't need to do entry level jobs suitable for teens. He's just bored. Much of boomer's bad behavior is like this. It's not that they hate the young. They just don't think or care about the 2nd order effects of their actions.

A 92-year-old North Carolina man got so bored 2 months into retirement that he applied to work at Chick-fil-A... ...his smile, kindness, and passion for Jesus became so contagious that when he got sick and missed 3 days of work, an ENTIRE TOWN began asking where he was. His name is Gilbert Martin. Everybody calls him "Mr. Gil." Mr. Gil is 92 years old, and works at the Chick-fil-A on Oleander Drive in Wilmington, NC. He spent decades working in the natural gas industry and when he retired, he greeted people at Sam's Club for 12 MORE years, until they eliminated his position. Most people would call that a sign to finally rest, but not Mr. Gil! Two months into retirement, he got bored... so he walked into Chick-fil-A and put in an application. He was 86 years old at the time. He's been there ever since. Not one or two shifts a week either. Monday through Friday. He says the full schedule gives him more chances to be there for people who need him. His official job is dining host. Clean tables. Clean floors. But Mr Gil doesn't see it that way... as he describes it, his real job is: "I get a lot of people that are coming in, just been to the doctor, and got bad news... I'm able to be an encourager; the Lord gave me that." A 92-year-old man who could be resting at home... chooses to stand in a dining room five days a week... so strangers on the worst day of their lives don't have to be alone. And Wilmington noticed. When Mr. Gil caught a cold and missed a couple of days, the owner said he was FLOODED with HUNDREDS of customers who were panicked about him. Mr. Gil has zero plans to retire. He says if you ever see him working, come say hi. "I don't know what 92 is supposed to feel like, but I feel great. Serving others has always brought me joy because I believe that a smile and a kind word can make someone's day a little brighter.” We need more of this in the world!!!!

Qualifications for voting should include only U.S. Citizens who: 1) Own property. 2) Work and pay income taxes. 3) Veterans. 4) Retirees (age 65 and older) who paid into Social Security (FICA taxes) for at least 20 years. 5) Spouses of the above categories. No one else should be allowed to vote. I also think voting age should go back to starting at 21. Have I missed any categories?

If they want me to use the men’s room, I will but I don’t want to be assaulted.” Rising star and unlikely hero of The Democratic Party, Ashley Webb. We need to address this point right here, right now. First of all, this is an incredibly reasonable position. Ashley essentially argues using the men’s room is fine, but trans people who do shouldn’t have to fear being assaulted for using the bathroom that matches their birth sex. I completely agree, and if more Democrats were being this reasonable about the issue, I think more of us would be understanding. I don’t want to live in a world where someone gets assaulted because of what they look like. I also don’t want to live in a world where little girls are forced to use the same restroom as grown men. Ashley Webb eloquently elucidates a shared reality we can work towards together, where both of these needs are met.

@gatorgar I want it to be illegal for men to be in women's areas. If we're just talking about dudes in dresses, it gets murkier with regards to the law. He should be able to wear a dress without getting assaulted (mocking and teasing are a different story).

@SarahTheHaider I'd also say there's a difference between a bit of natural quirkiness and a full-blown effort to appear as such. Folks will sniff that out in a minute. That said "odd/weird" usually means "high maintenance" and, long term, no one wants high-maintenance friends.
