The less people vote, the more Republicans win. Republican's base will always come out. But typically non-voters, when they do vote, nearly always vote Democrat. Dem strategists still haven't gotten that through their thick skulls and it keeps costing them (and all of us)

The country hadn't gotten more right-wing. Or, if it has, this election isn't evidence of it. It's the same shit that always happens to Dems: they tried to cater to conservatives and didn't do shit to reach out to non-voters, and so less people came out to vote.
