@chrisbbreuer @zeu_dev All I was doing is asking for some more info from someone who knew more than me on the topic and you just vague post to make me feel stupid and make yourself feel superior.

@valeness84 @zeu_dev Yes- this questionnaire is seeking to understand who APPLIED to the company, not who is EMPLOYED by the company.

@VicVijayakumar I think there's a distinction to be made between people who hate vercel going woke and queer people who have a legitimate complaint with a government self-report system that can be used, and historically has been used, to hurt them.

i'm not entirely sure why people hate a federal agency whose job it is to PREVENT you from being fucked over by your employer do you hate the agency or the application questionnaire? these rules were made for a reason. are they still relevant? idk should they be reexamined? idk

@zeu_dev Is there a reason it's on the application and not the onboarding paperwork? /gen

3. you can always decline to answer these questions (“prefer not to share”, etc.) 4. questions are also about disability and veteran status, not just about who you kiss 5. those w govt contracts are required to have these EEO questions, others use it for analysis

not too fond of this thing where [bad person] has a [take] expressed in a shitty way, and then some people decide to uncritically adopt the opposite of [take] and also presume people who share the [bad person]'s [take] are also bad people many such cases

Something I've noticed regarding people who defend yellow paint in video games:

@chhopsky @dragon_scorch @evankinney I think that large companies have different departments with often conflicting goals and timelines to accomplish them and that it's not solely "environment artists" that cause yellow paint to exist. There's a whole genre of games with climbable environments without yellow paint

@dragon_scorch @evankinney i dont mean to be rude but do you not think environment artists know moss exists? we get shot repeatedly and are just fine afterwards, lets not pretend we're not suspending our disbelief for the game world already

@TkDodo @AdamRackis @Cal_Irvine Love when people on twitter are intentionally obtuse :) If you can't deploy something because your eslint step is unable to be bypassed I envy your company's leadership and lack of urgency. However, that's often not the case for many software orgs.

My god 99.9% of all eslint rules are complete shit why do people still use this god-forsaken tool. I'm not saying you _should_ have an else after an if statement that returns, but it's _fine_ if you think it makes the code clearer and to prohibit it is absurd.

@TkDodo @AdamRackis @Cal_Irvine Merge PRs when there are no functional-blocking comments left unaddressed. Something like "eslint error here" is not a blocking comment. "Cool bro, can address later, code works tho and tests pass, merging ^_^ "

Actually, the responsibility lies with the driver manoeuvring a heavy weapon.

@seanorr Pro tip: cross walks don’t make you invincible. You have just as much of a responsibility to keep your eyes open and look both ways as a driver does to stop.

@blackopsposter @alastair472 @foxyjewishmama The study is literally about the speed of a vehicle and the fatality of resulting collisions; not about local/suburban roads vs city streets. Jesus christ you're fucking stupid. I don't like stroads. I don't like car dependency. Cities are literally built for it tho. it sucks

@blackopsposter @alastair472 @foxyjewishmama And living *IN* the city was far too expensive for me to house me and my mom. We tried bro. Idk why you're so fucking mad that some people just aren't well suited to live in an apartment. Some apartments don't have elevators and wouldn't make a 1st floor exception for my mom.
