Why is French the only foreign language offered in most schools in Bangalore? Is there a more useless language? If we are preparing our kids for the future, Mandarin should be the offered foreign language!

@ManeeManjunath Alliance Francaise did a great job for so many decades - so tons of French teachers. And that France was a colonial power who wanted to spread French. Next to no effort by china to encourage mandarin

The hypocrisy of the TVK government stands exposed once again today. When Tamil Thai Vazhthu was relegated to the third position during the swearing-in ceremony, TVK defended itself by claiming that it was compelled to follow a new Union Government order. Aadhav Arjuna himself assured that this would not continue and that Tamil Thai Vazhthu would be accorded its rightful place in future. But on 9 July, the Union Home Ministry itself clarified the protocol: where a State Song is rendered, it should be sung first. Yet today, at the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University convocation,named after the very author of Tamil Thai Vazhthu,the song was once again pushed to the third position. What happened to the promise? If the Union Government's clarification was the excuse yesterday, what is the excuse today @TVKVijayHQ ? The most disturbing part is not just the protocol violation but the silence of TVK that has chosen not to utter a word when Tamil Thai Vazhthu itself is denied its rightful place. This further reiterates that the TVK government's words are meant only for the stage. When it is time to defend Tamil's dignity through action, they fall conspicuously silent.
