@TristinHopper This reminds me of the Doukhobors in the Kootenays. They had the fanatics that would march naked, burn their houses, and blow things up. The moderates wanted to integrate into Canadian society. Different times, same issues and no answers from government on how to fix this.

In Canada, it's really not hard to find Sikhs willing to tell the Khalistanis to go eff themselves. If we ever saw some viariant of the Westboro Baptist Church, every conceivable Christian denomination would be tripping over themselves to condemn it. But with Islamic extremism now an out-of-control truck in this country, the Muslim voices condemning it (even anonymously) can be counted on one hand.

@brianlilley The data shows differently on overdose demographics regarding racism, sexism, and colonization. This whole acknowledgement thing is beyond stupid. They should focus on actually trying to fix the problems instead of memos.

This is absolutely ridiculous. All of it, not just the addition of a “drug toxicity” acknowledgment to the existing land and African ancestral acknowledgements. The City of Toronto is not functioning well, basic services are a disaster, and this is what they are focussed on.

Money laundering is the engine driving drug trafficking, fentanyl deaths, gang violence, and extortion across our province. British Columbia has become a major hub for transnational organized crime, and far too little has been done to stop it. I have a clear and decisive plan to fight this crisis. I will immediately appoint an Independent Officer of Anti-Money Laundering, an officer of the legislature who can investigate and publicly report without any political interference.
