“NOBODY WANTS TO GO TO THE UPDATED LIBRARY WE BUILT, THEY MUST HATE BOOKS NOW” This is the world we have settled for and we let them build. Every space they will make look like it was designed around the style of a sports stadium men’s room.

I'm excited to announce the Outliers Summit. November 5 and 6 in New York City. A two-day gathering for founders, creators, operators, builders, and thinkers bringing unreasonably ambitious ideas to life, hosted with my friend @ankurnagpal and @AngelList. Previously, we called this event the OOO Summit. But this year, we've evolved the brand and doubled the size of the event to reflect what we believe the future will look like. Over the last two years, thousands of ambitious people attended our summit, and we've realized that the people showing up aren't just business owners and operators. They are multi-hyphenates, hybrid creator-entrepreneurs, solo builders, AI-native founders, and even people running companies of one with agents doing the rest. The word to describe this kind of person is Outlier. The type of person who chose to take the unconventional path and pave their own way. You'll be hearing from people like @rrhoover (@ProductHunt, @WeekendFund), @shl (@gumroad), @dunn (@Bonobos, Pie), @nadyaokamoto (Pie, August), @zsims (@Codecademy), @mrsharma and @nateliason. & many more to be announced. This year, the Outliers Summit will be two full days: Day 1 is How Outliers Build. Tactical sessions where you leave having built the thing yourself – an app, an agent, an audience, a brand. Day 2 is How Outliers Think. Off-the-record conversations about the bets that separate outliers from everyone else. Early bird pricing ends August 12th and goes up 30% after that. If you are unreasonably ambitious, we'd love to meet you. Apply here: outlierssummit.com

I went deep on this business and what I learned is crazy... Adult summer camps and their demand is exploding. Lots of people are going to get rich. The thesis is simple... People are burnt out and lonely as hell. And they’re looking to book weekends that feel like being a kid again... This time with open bars, memory foam, and no parents. Yelp searches for these things jumped like 350% recently. A solid weekend runs $500–$1,200+ a person and includes the usual archery/kayaking/ropes stuff plus karaoke, foam parties, paint-and-sip, the whole deal. One influencer’s women-only camp sold out in under 10 minutes and ended up with a 60,000-person waitlist. That’s insans. The modern version basically started around 2013. There was the pure digital-detox one (Camp Grounded... no phones, no real names, no work talk) started by a burned-out tech guy who later passed away way too young. And then the party version (Camp No Counselors) that went on Shark Tank, got rejected, and still blew up anyway with color wars and slip-n-slides. People show up solo and leave with actual friends. In this post-pandemic economy, this feels like a winner. [Pictures of "Camp No Counselor"]
