I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Adam Rauch, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services for Oak Park Unified School District. My sincere condolences and prayers are with his family, loved ones, and the entire Oak Park Unified School District community during this difficult time. Adam devoted his career to serving students, families, and educators, and his impact on Oak Park schools and the broader community will be felt for many years to come. I always appreciated Adam’s collaborative approach and his willingness to work together on issues affecting Oak Park schools and the community. He led with professionalism, care, and a genuine commitment to doing what was best for students and families. My office is serving as a drop-off location for the Memorial Day Food Drive benefiting veterans across Ventura County. 🇺🇸 In partnership with Gold Coast Veterans Foundation and Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank, donations of non-perishable food and hygiene items will help support local veterans and their families throughout the year. Donations will be collected through May 29, 2026, and can be dropped off during regular business hours at my office. It was an honor to recognize the life and service of Robert “Bob” M. Taylor with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2nd Annual Supervisorial Leadership & Excellence Awards. Bob was a proud Camarillo resident, World War II veteran, and D-Day survivor who recently celebrated his 102nd birthday. He passed away in April, and my thoughts are with his daughter Debra and their entire family as they gather this weekend to celebrate his life.
