@alexalbert__ for three days on a Team plan I and all others have gotten nothing but "usage limit exceeded" on desktop and the below on mobile. Support isn't reacting and just replied about usage tracker bug... So it's a total outage. Could you help?

There is a weird amount of overlap between the people who insist that we take climate experts seriously when they warn of big changes on the horizon, and people who refuse to take AI experts seriously when they say the same thing.

@JacobTref @kat_a_collins I have a quick question for a friend in endometriosis advocacy: For sub-5k health policy advocacy "fast grants", who should one look to (project is in Germany/Europe and aims to mobilize public R&D funding and change medical guidelines)?

2️⃣Found areas of consensus and divergence, for example, most respondents agreed: 77% of researchers agreed that catastrophic risks should be taken seriously Only 17% think safety work slows progress Interestingly, 57% agreed (and the majority of the remainder were neutral) that “Some AIs (now or in the future) may be moral patients, with their own welfare that we should care about”

Merz' leading 32% is barely above CDU’s current polling. Scholz pulled around 25% as best performer against SPD baseline of ~16%—the largest favorable gap. Older voters (60+) are many, tend to watch these debates more. Likely biggest net gain of any candidate

@aravartanian oh yes, I recorded a live session of me doing ACX (prior to close) and I now have a Substack for which to place it on! I just need to figure out how video editing works

@yanisvaroufakis They significantly improved algorithmic efficiency (letting you achieve more with the same training compute) in ways which can immediately be copied by US companies, who hold far more training compute and have achieved many wins of similar magnitude A race is not good for anyone

This is delicious: how China's DeepSeek has blown a $1 trillion hole in the US Technofeudal Order. All it took was a smart tech solution that turned OpenAI's process of commodifying our data into a free good. Let's see how our technofeudalists respond theguardian.com/business/2025/…

I'd like to see more forecasts of this question, relative to questions of technical aspects of AI progress. After all, real-world impact is what's most important. But I think it's crucial to not let the forecasts be conditional on there being no policy response. @NathanpmYoung

@Kai_Wehnemann Klar!

2/ Given recent polling and prediction markets, the European climate scene needs to brace for a potential Trump victory in the US. It would likely weaken climate policies, promote fossil fuels, and reduce NATO strength, drawing significant EU funding to defense.

We need carbon removal in addition to deep emissions reductions to get to net-zero. But as we show in a new study the durability of removals is key to ensure net-zero actually stabilizes global temperatures and meets our climate goals: nature.com/articles/s4324…

Unemployment weakens governments, inflation kills. It’s an old saying. It’s true again. The fight to protect people against price shocks in essentials was lost in the trenches of economics.
