On 2 March work will begin to upgrade Assisted Travel Lounge at @NetworkRailEUS

Just had an awful denial of service at Urmston station from @northernassist train guard who said he couldn’t get me on because it was “too busy”.
Didn’t even seek to make the reasonable adjustment of asking people to bunch up to make space. My friend @coilinduffy witnessed it

i've been thinking about what would be a good "one watch" across all wardrobes and i think it's a swatch. a $25k daytona with a suit is vulgar bc it's flashy, out of place, and a transparent display of wealth. but a swatch is fun, playful, and looks at home with everything

Your thoughtfulness is appreciated as always, but I feel like you only prove my point: - If you mainly wear suits and sport coats - If your wardrobe leans a bit more rugged - If your style leans a bit more contemporary and minimalist - If you like classic casual wear "If, then...." Meanwhile, I provide an option that covers all scenarios... And your default response - a datejust - is simply a boring, poor man's Daytona.

The icing on today’s cake is that despite booking there was no assistance at @NetworkRailEUS. They say they were expecting me on a different train.

@velse @LNER @EastMidRailway Hi Steve, We have just had word lines. We are opening back up. So if you can get to the PA lounge at Piccadilly as a turn-up and go, they will get you on the next service out of there.

Tried to buy a ticket for a train today on several apps. They looked like they were available for 29. When we got to 15 mins before I couldn’t buy them. Had to go to a machine. 42
