A pleasant surprise to be listed amongst the "Top 2% Scientists Globally" by Stanford University. The Stanford/Elsevier list highlights the top 2% of the most cited scientists across the world. Thank you for the recognition🙏. #KeepsYouMotivated 🥳 #StrengthOfCollaboration.

@Steven41849941 It’s not fair you should go through such hard times. We should get rid of all the foreigners, including all the doctors and nurses.

I’m at A&E my breathing isn’t great. I’m in west London. There’s about 50 people here. My wife & I are the only white people. There’s a big puddle under some woman🤢 2 Indians sitting on seats opposite no shoes on, feet on seats. It’s like the 3rd world here. 😬😱

@MarkarSheraz Agree! It’s easy to runaway with the ‘sexy’ option. There are definite advantages of robotics, but the application of the technique needs to be in a qualified manner.

Interesting read for those of us really actually trying to robustly evaluate the real world benefit of robotics, without a robotic company disclosure 😉 soard.org/article/S1550-…

@LFerri123 @MarkarSheraz @ISDE_net This is so important. Conferences nowadays have turned into some sort of chest beating who is better than who exercise. Reminiscing, sharing & learning about the bad days is extremely important.

Come commiserate with your colleagues at the @ISDE_net “Tears in Beers” session and compete for the “ISDE Leaking Cup” To quote Rene Leriche (1879-1955) History is, for every esophageal surgeon, that little cemetery of memories where he goes to seek lessons for his/her mistakes

🚲 tour of Kerala. The first two days took us from sealevel at kochi to the heights of Munnar 🚴 through villages, forests, across streams exploring vast banana, coconut, rubber, spice & tea plantation and enjoying local delicacy & monsoon rain. @KeralaTourism @incredibleindia

Today one of the most important days in my professional career as promoted to full professor of UGI surgery @NDSurgicalSci. So proud of the national and international collaborations we are building in the UGI community. Too many people to thank, but genuinely so so grateful!

@researchactive @MarkarSheraz On the other hand some very ordinary papers with poor evidence get published in ‘renowned’ journals just because of the paper is coming from certain centres / authors. It’s all a bit of an old boys club. Peer review is definitely broken.

@MarkarSheraz Peer review is broken - I can beat that, Paper under review for a year and while enquiring why from editorial office, journal asked me to review another paper in their reply- incredible how the system has collapsed

Amazing record for me. Had a paper rejected by a journal and within 19mins asked to review another paper for the same journal! 🤔

@hsamuelhelp I bought a pair of Harry Potter golden snitch earrings on your website. The earrings came in a plastic bag and not in a box with Swarovski certification as advertised. See picture below.

Trick is to get the longest possible conduit. Kocherise the duodenum and use the shortest stapler (a 30mm) to divide the stomach (like cutting a circle with a scissors with one small cut at a time).
