#WATCH | Mumbai, Maharashtra: On Bharat Taxi app, Union Minister Piyush Goyal says, "... I am very happy that our auto‑rickshaw and taxi drivers, who until now had to rely on foreign apps with heavy commissions and subscription charges, will now benefit from the government’s initiative. A new Bharat Taxi app has been introduced to provide affordable, authorised fares to the public while ensuring zero commission and no subscription fees for drivers. Through this app, drivers will also receive free insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh, and access to MUDRA loans to modernise or upgrade their vehicles, including shifting to electric vehicles to increase earnings..."

OTT webseries and movies are so much full of violence, vulgar scenes, dialogues...Is it good for the children who get opportunity to see this daily sitting at home on TV or in mobile?

My takeaways on TN polls as I leave from Chennai. More in the coming days TN’s urban nature is in focus, cities driving politics, shaping voter mood and making inequality more visible, the real battleground this time While most experts break TN into North, West, Delta and South, the biggest and most decisive region is urban TN.
Out of roughly 100 urban seats with over 1 lakh population, the DMK alliance holds 82, and nearly 70% of its strength comes from these areas, so defending urban TN is key to holding power. Candidates reaching deeper into families. Split in families visible. Party workers seen specifically appealing to younger members in households, even humouring kids in door to door campaigns. Welfare matters but doesn’t bind voters, people are grateful but want more and are willing to question and change govts
AIADMK’s focus on strongholds looks smart, but it’s unclear if that alone can capture the full anti incumbency vote. Clever of EPS to spend the last week in Kongu to consolidate his seats.
A sizeable segment of voters is not loyal to either DMK or AIADMK. Performance of parties like VCK and NTK will be specifically interesting to see if they are able to hold on to their voters. Safety and police behaviour matter to everyday voters. Whichever party comes, pls address the drug problem in youth. Almost every mother I met in Chennai spoke about it. Chennai region’s 35 seats will be a key test, DMK holds 32 while TVK has pushed hard in many of them. Trichy, which DMK swept last time, is another big test. TVK campaign went beyond speeches, reel style clips, music, robots, slow motion videos, visuals grabbing attention. Designed specifically for today’s society. And it’s not only youngsters who love reels. Money, liquor, biriyani flowed in roadshows and rallies. One could easily see what is a mobilised crowd and what is not. But crowds don’t always decided outcomes. DMK knows anti incumbency exists, so pushed an aggressive campaign around welfare, manifesto and M. K. Stalin’s image, making this the most crucial battle for the party.  If TN votes for change, it follows a familiar script; if DMK returns, it rewrites it but the X factor is Vijay, whose votes could decide whether this election simply turns the page or changes TN for good

If you want to show the worst of Mumbai, take them to Andheri. @TVMohandasPai is shocked. In Mumbai - Cost of Living vs Quality of Living is inversely correlated. In Andheri it is at it’s peak. A completely abandoned neighbourhood.

The entire #Lenskart controversy is inconsequential Facts are that as equity investors we need to look at the business of the company and its potential Its a business with ZERO MOAT It carries low value products which cannot compete with most local opticians as well as chains like Titan Eyecare Eyecare business is not a sunrise business its growing at just 8-10% in India and as such growth due to just market share gains is not possible beyond a point Margins will be capped They are going offline and opening more and more stores which is ROE dilutive Net net its a hugely overvalued stock fundamentally. Fair value Rs 200

@rishrox19 This is actually more important than mere wealth creation. Widespread education by relationship manager, financial planners, insurance advisor required apart from just selling products for plotting all details in one place and sharing that with family members

🚆 Indian Railways strengthens finances through scrap sales and non-fare revenue streams. 📍 Scrap disposal generated ₹6,813 crore in FY 2025–26, exceeding targets. 📊 Non-fare revenue rose to ₹777 crore, driven by ads and asset monetisation. 🛠️ Earnings are being reinvested to improve stations, services and passenger amenities. swarajyamag.com/news-brief/ind…

I remember being told by the school where I took admission in the 5th that I could only buy my school uniform from one particular store on Pune’s MG Road. So many years later, my son was told he could only buy his uniform, shoes and books from the school store. Always wondered why the government never bothered to change such a stupid rule…

@Iamsamirarora Instead of always thinking of cutting jobs, why can't we come with standard formula of 1 employee per some count for different sectors like banking, hotel, hospital & maintain that for quality service? Are we having that...

I often hear this argument: AI will not be able to do everything, we will still need humans to supervise, monitor etc Obviously we will still need people- question is how many fewer people will be needed to do the same job.
