Just had a not so great experience w/ ambulance approaching from the rear. NO siren or lights. FSD started riding the shoulder at 55mph w/out signal. Disengaged as I thought FSD failed. Great to see it may respond to emergency vehicles, but a false positive was scary. @Tesla_AI

A lot of people are curious to hear if v14 Lite is good or not. It seems that some of the early “influencers” were pumping it and raving about how good it was, but as soon as it went wider, a lot of people were disappointed since it didn’t meet their expectations. I got some really angry DMs from people saying it was my fault for allowing it to go wider! They were very upset with me. On the other hand, if I point out the problems, people also get upset. So no matter what, I can never win. I created a poll to understand the real situation with v14 Lite. 70% of people said it was an improvement over v12.6.4.

To friends in the United States and Canada. 🇺🇸🇨🇦 As far as I know, the distribution scope for V14 Lite has been greatly expanded. Are you satisfied with the software? I’m curious about the overall driving experience! Is this version suitable for scaling over a wider range? @JonBbC_TechGeek @Chansoo

@koby_pierce Great feedback. Love hearing that the +/- stab issue was not present in EA release. I know they can resolve that, parking & make it less timid in general. It’s pretty damn good. I think all the people crying were just used to v12 and v14L simply drives differently, not worse.

v14 Lite Streak Update: Just hit 10k miles of v14 driving through a very wide verity of situations and 2,000mi streak miles of driving through Rural Canada and Alaska. This version definitely has its quirks but the edge case performance and reaction speed is SOO much better. The micro-stutters/micro-spasms in this newest v14 Lite release (the wide one) is very annoying but not unsafe. Hopefully they work on it a bit more and bring back the smoothness and confidence of the first two v14 Lite Versions!

@MyTeslaMoonship Climate options should pop up when you put the car in park and your not at home/work/etc. Hope that becomes an options one day. Either set to auto when not at home, or just pop up so I remember to turn it on.

@brewski77 street, driveway, parking lot at home for me. Have a mobile connector in the garage, but no charger option. It always pulls nose in on the opposite side of driveway I would prefer 😂

@BLKMDL3 My major thing after 24 hours is the lack of route options in the nav. Daily I click an alternate route for my first 2 stops. Anytime I check for an alternate route now, I rarely see one. This prevents me from properly reaching daycare and work parking garage.

Got a couple hours of driving in this morning with the FSD v14 lite update (2026.20.6.11) and while still impressive and significantly better than v12.6.4, I’m seeing some regressions from the previous update (2026.20.6.10) which was an amazing update. I had about 2 hours of driving today to a meeting and back on this newest update, it was overall good. This build is not as bad as people are saying, but to me it feels like they adjusted some weights for wide release to make it slightly more cautious which I understand of course. I may be totally wrong but that’s just a guess I had based on how it drove before. I saw two brake stabs, one for a pedestrian and one approaching a railroad crossing. This version still has the excellent reaction time and awareness of the previous versions, which is great. I haven’t had enough time with it parking, but the one parking job I saw seemed just ok. I’ll go out later for more a bunch more drives, focusing on parking and busy streets, the drives I did earlier were fine, but 2026.20.6.10 was definitely better.

@j32pmxr @Tesla_AI I see this with 12.6.4 quite often. Exact issue you mentioned. It gets scared around a semi on a curve.

V14 Lite has a "semi pacing" issue that I've found. Sometimes (around a curve??) it will pass a slower truck and then suddenly slow down to start pacing it instead of continuing to pass at the same speed it was going. @Tesla_AI

Now you won’t even have to enter a destination. Your Tesla can just guess where you want to go, and then drive you there.
