Have you considered that maybe the same logic you use to justify choosing a bear over a man is exactly kind of reasoning that gets you to place yourself in unsafe situations in the first place? Eg, I know I would not choose to be alone in a forest with a bear instead of a known human serial killer. In the same way, I would not knowingly walk into a den of thieves carrying $100million, even if every thief there was a four-foot-tall, one-eyed 14-year-old.
