No hand-wringing about how even more aircrafts were lost in rescue. No questions to US military to give proof of their assertions. This was victorious countries do. Unite in times of war. As Americans say - Americans are in harms way during war. All differences cease during such operations. I don't know but in an armed conflict you do have losses. It is only in Bharat where the illiterate educated class put the value of machinery over the human life and seek a comic book conflict. What you should be asking is, how an F-15 Strike Eagle that is air to ground support role was flying at 5000 ft altitude or below. Where is the Iranian Airforce? Where is the Iranian air defense? Where is the rotary component of Iranian militia? U.S. owns the Iranian airspace.

Seeing multiple posts since early morning of similar conclusions. I am following special operations for close to a decade now. You don't show up with a whole company to rescue a pilot. It was just not making sense to me. One or two hepters, couple of dozen men, quick in and quick out is the way.
