The Devil is a master at disunity and discord. he benefits most when the effects of his power cause the most discord and disunity. God can & does work within and through the many split Protestant denominations, but fundamentally Protestantism is a work of the devil that God allows. Catholics are not immune. Our walls have cracks. But the Church cannot fail because her unity is not merely organizational. It is anchored in a divinely instituted office that makes visible unity possible in a way no Protestant body can replicate. Ecumenism can and may recognize the various ways in which God works in and through these ecclesial communities, but for the purpose of fostering open hearts and forging a path for them to come back into union with Christs Church, not to keep them asleep in their errors. Many bishops and clergy will make mistakes as far as ecumenism goes, thinking that cowardice in proclaiming these things is a virtue. Complacency and lack of conviction are largely to blame. But in the end, God wins. And so as time goes on whether we grow or shrink, we remain. And God will get all the glory when the world sees how God can take the corrupt hearts of men and convert them to love one another so that we may all be visibly one in Christ.

Why he lied about meeting the Russian Ambassador. Why he lied about “one million people in Britain not speaking any English at all”. Why he lied about “70% of the laws in the UK are made by the EU”. Why he lied about migrants “eating swans in Royal Parks”. Why he lied about the UK sending “£350 million a week” to the EU that could be spent on the NHS. Why he lied about the ‘UK needing one new home every two minutes just to cope with legal migration’. Why he lied about “Shoplifting under £200” effectively going unpunished. Why he lied about London and Manchester being “minority white cities”. Why he lied about being the only Reform UK person to have known Nathan Gill. Or maybe you just don’t like lying selectively?

Hunt some deer for venison. accept a more open native woodland -scrub structure, doesn’t have to be so dense everywhere. Protect plantings. Relocate some maybe.

@BusinessGreen The approach taken by local authorities is that the burden of proof and threshold for lowering speed limits falls on everyone except the motorist. The argument deployed is that most ppl drive below 30mph on rural lanes so why act to stop the dangerous drivers above 60-70mph.

Parents of young athletes are always writing to me or calling me and telling me how talented their kids are. “My daughter made the State team” “My son qualified for Nationals”. “My child is in the Elite Junior Academy”. Two words: Who cares? Physical talent - particularly in kids under 12 is over-rated and ultimately is more of a curse than something to get excited about: Early rise usually means early fall. Want to impress me? Tell me this: “My child stays back after training - on their own - and they choose to do extra practice because they love learning and getting better”. or “My child works hard at training and often finishes their work before some of the other kids. They then turn around and cheer on and encourage their team mates and help them” or “My child loves to arrive early to training and help the coach set up the field, get out the equipment and be there to contribute to the team” Physical talent is the worst indicator of how far your child will go in sport. Character on the other hand - matters more than you can imagine. It’s all so stupid, the dumbest show on Earth. Russia could end the war whenever it wants simply by leaving Ukraine. Putin continues the genocidal invasion for the same reasons he started it: power and conquest. And it won’t end until continuing it is a threat to his rule.
