KERALAM - Is NDA winning?
An analysis & prediction:
SCENARIO 1 - Drawn from facts & assumptions I listed in below post (attached👇) based on trends from past 3 elections:-
Probability(%) Seats Wins
Sure shot (90%) 14 13
Most likely (75%) 8 6
Likely (50%) 17 8
Low lean (25%) 6 1
NDA to win 28 seats!
Range = 25 - 31 seats (4-5% vote share increase from 2024)
NDA expected to win seats largely in Thrissur and Thiruvananthapuram districts with numbers also coming from Alappuzha, Palakkad, Pathanamthitta & one odd seat from Kasaragod etc.
SCENARIO 2 - Unfolding situation where Xtians have become extremely wary of Cong promising share in power to radical M parties. Given the fact that Keralam BJP has been working with the community for a while now, winning their trust which is evident from the gains they have made in districts with sizeable Xtian population as well as their strategic tie up with TTP, NDA may gain numbers from Ernakulam, Kottayam, Idukki etc, while consolidating even further from Thrissur, Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta etc…
In the above scenario, all bets are off the table and NDA may gain unprecedented numbers 😊
That perhaps is the reason why BJP is extremely confident and hopeful this time in Keralam.

Why BJP is poised for a phenomenal performance in Kerala?? 1. Keep in mind that Kerala will be a triangular contest which means that seats can and will be won on 35-40% vote share. 2. While state and centre elections are different but where all the players are national parties, whether state or national, elections must also be viewed as a continuum. 3. In 2021 Kerala assembly elections, BJP had over 20% vote share in 27 seats. 4. In 2024 elections, BJP had over 20% vote share in 50 assembly seats including 22 seats where the vote share was over 30%! 5. Election after election, BJP has been showing a continuous increase in vote share, touching almost 20% overall in 2024. 6. BJP’s vote share is not spread out and is relatively concentrated in a few districts, which gives it a much higher probability of securing large number of seats in those districts. 7. A deeper analysis shows that BJP vote gains are mostly from the left (exact same as West Bengal). Since LDF is in govt, BJP is set to gain from anti incumbency! 8. Hence in 2026, BJP in Kerala has the ground laid out beautifully (critical mass of 20/30% plus vote share) as well as the momentum, the leadership, the campaign, central party support and above all excellent candidates! With the above points in view, I will be sharing my seat projections for Kerala NDA/BJP tomorrow as I am in the final stages of analysing data… So kindly keep watching this space 😊🙏
