My preliminary check for every domain consists of looking them up on DotDB, NameBio and Wayback Machine. To speed up this monotonous workflow I built an extension that allows me to run a quick check on any domain on my screen in just a couple of clicks. @gammichan I see your method and raise you “run it with a towel wrapped around it” until it seriously overheats to the point it practically re-melts the solder. That’s what we did in the dorms since no access to ovens. We would pick up every RRoD’d 360 off craigslist. Great times.

Back when I was a broke college kid I bought like 50 broken Xbox 360s in bulk for dirt cheap and fixed probably 75% of them by putting them in the oven lol

Is anyone selling .xyz at $50K+ besides Swetha? I was Holding 45 strong one-word / tech synergy names (50+ extensions), listed for a year at $1,000 BIN with zero sales.

As an update, they announced they’re rolling this change back and upping the seller commission to 10%. Better than charging the buyer I think.
