Composite images received this morning from #NOAA 15, 18 & 19 and #Meteor-M N2 #weather satellites on 137 MHz in Thessaloniki, 🇬🇷. #R2FX APT receiver for the American birds and @rtlsdrblog dongle w/ @Nooelec LNA/SAW filter for the Russian one; both sharing a KE-137 #QFH antenna.

X-band experiments continued today :-) Lot's of stuff to improve, but nice results in the mean time. AQUA direct reception truecolour and RGB=221 - crops of the mediterranean, quite some thunderstorms. SUOMI NPP crops of parts of England, Ireland and Scotland

Decoding frames from the Iridium constellation with @muccc gr-iridium + iridium-toolkit, @rtlsdrblog v3 and a GPS patch with SAW filter removed. Collected more than 130,000 frames overnight from 67 different satellites.

Scotland joining in with the good weather for a change but without the intense heat of down south. NOAA 20 image processed using Pytroll/SayPy software for windows (thank you Ernst).

While monitoring 2216MHz, I came across a new zombie satellite SHIYAN 2 (SY-2) [28479, 2004-046A]. The spacecraft is obviously emitting while periodically tumbling or rotating and cutting in and out. Welcome to my Zombie list!

Testing FENGYUN-4A LRIT demodulation in goesrecv. New QPSK Costas loop is working well with existing clock recovery. Decoder will need changes to handle both I and Q, rather than just the I branch. @pnoordhuis

Analysing S/PDIF digital audio protocol with @sigrokproject PulseView and a $10 eBay logic analyser. Captured data will be used to verify the output of my FPGA implementation (WIP). Looks like mono audio at 48 kHz is a good place to start.
