Visited a startup accelerator in Palo Alto last week It was 10pm and the founders were still coding “Do you have a government permit to be working at this hour?” I asked them They looked at me and said “bro what are you talking about” in a typical condescending American way I explained that in Europe we would require special authorization from the labor ministry and overtime compensation forms filed in “Bro no wonder you guys ship so slow” I immediately called the police reporting there are people doing unlicensed labor after business hours The officer laughed and hung up I left for the airport that same day and flew back to Berlin where work happens between 9am and 5pm, with 1h lunch break, as intended by law No wonder American startups fail so often

@elonmusk TIL, Elon has never voted in his life. Candidates are listed across multiple parties, this is why Zohran is in multiple spots. This has always been the case, and is normal - literally this happens in California too. Cuomo is on no party line, so he had to make up a party.

If you’re voting for Kamala because of abortion laws… you should realize that she won’t be able to go in and change the abortion laws !! She has been sitting VP for 2 years since the Supreme Court’s 2022 decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade. This decision removed the federal constitutional protection for abortion, allowing individual states to set their own abortion laws and regulations and since then, Kamala has done nothing to change this and would have to go through a republican congress to over turn this decision which wouldn’t happen!! You’re voting for her because of one SYMBOLIC issue she “SAYS” she’s going to change but hasn’t for 2 years.

@dnathe4th @jjacky @44 Entirely the charger network and it’s reliability. Ford is referring to the largest non proprietary network (which is extremely unreliable and slow). MKBHD did a “race from nyc to buffalo and back” in a ford Mach-e, a Tesla and a gas car. The results were grim.

I drove my M3 across the US 3 times and have done many long road trips with *no* range planning. You can't do that with any other EV. The second I can, I will switch

These are all beloved. (compared to the hate towards meadowlands and Levi's Stadium)

@gsvalentine @the_transit_guy Except for the expensive zone system, all but 4 lines having no AC when it’s 30C, having to duck your head if you’re over 6’2” on the circle line, lack of express track and not running 24/7. But the lines are adorably named! (And admittedly I am very jealous of Crossrail)
