

Principal Secretary for Medical Services Dr. Ouma Oluga today held a consultative meeting at Afya House with members of the United States Government House Foreign Affairs Committee to advance implementation of the Kenya–United States Health Cooperation Framework signed in December 2025. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral health collaboration, including disease prevention and response, health systems strengthening, and other shared priorities under the framework. The meeting also highlighted the importance of sustained partnership, transparency, accountability, and strategic investments in healthcare to improve service delivery and long-term health outcomes. The U.S. delegation was led by Mr. Brandon Ramsay, Professional Staff Member, U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee, and included Ms. Allison Cantrell, Dr. Sally Okutoyi from the U.S. Department of State – Office of Foreign Assistance, Ms. Leah Hasselback from the U.S. Embassy Nairobi, alongside senior Ministry of Health technical officials.
