And then Obama tightened the Cafe fuel economy standards and GHG regulations, which tightened emission standards, fastracked electrification, and nearly capsized the bolt on industry. But in the background of all this bullshit was Kyle Loftis, and he was deep in the trenches of starting 1320Video. He was beginning to help capture and popularize the performance scene that the aftermarket relied on. Kyle’s work during this time directly supported the visibility and popularity of the performance automotive industry that Obama was trying to destroy. This work is directly responsible for keeping the industry afloat to this day. Kyle’s work inspired millions upon millions of casual enthusiasts during this extremely crucial point in history, and he turned them into critical members of the performance automotive industry that we see today. He guided, mentored, documented, popularized, empowered, and inspired probably 60% of the industry as we know it today. I can’t put into words how important Kyle Loftis was to car culture without saying that without Kyle Loftis, we may not even have race cars today.
