Disgraced ex-BBC presenter Huw Edwards, convicted of possessing indecent images of children, is being inundated with TV comeback offers. Six TV shows, three documentaries, photoshoots, podcasts and even a book about child pornography from UK and US networks. His former publicist Barry Tomes (pro bono for seven days) confirmed he handed Edwards the flood of offers in person. Edwards is furious about the Channel 5 drama Power and says he’ll “state his case” later this year. Why are the media rewarding this disgusting vile monster!?!

@JohnCleese I don't see what is going on here. It looks nice a celebration involving the man and he's hugging a little girl. He gives her a kiss and she seems content and comfortable. I see nothing wrong, dangerous or abusive, just comments that seem to judge this scene as paedophilia

@Murk441 I think it's still possible to choose which one you find most attractive. Just because they are young doesn't mean they also can't be attractive.

A Turkish boxer murdered a florist in cold blood by punching him so hard that it shattered his skull. The victim’s sister had the audacity to share a photo of the fighter’s wife’s floral bouquet on the shop’s Instagram page. The woman got mad about it and sent her husband to confront the florist. The fighter lost his temper the instant the victim walked in and killed him on the spot. The florist had no idea anything was wrong.

Convicted child sex offender David Stingemore was seen alive in his prison cell just minutes before he was discovered dead, an inquest opening has heard. The inquest into the death of the 71-year-old, who died at the Parkhurst Road premises, was opened at the Isle of Wight Coroner's Court at Seaclose last week (Friday 20th March). Stingemore, originally from Wales, had been serving an 18-year prison term for child sex offences in the 1980s when his sentence was extended by 6 years in 2023 for further shocking abuse against multiple girls in Yorkshire. no. He raped one young girl at least 50 times over a prolonged period. Stingemore had previously been jailed in 1987 for indecently assaulting another young girl and there were also sexual offences against young boys The court heard how Stingemore was last seen shortly after 18:30 on the 6th March, however within 20 minutes, staff returned to his cell to find he had died. Currently, the death of the convicted paedophile has been ruled as 'unascertained' pending further laboratory investigations. That law abuse of power can be used, even though it isn't an official relationship. I don't think the post was referring to a 25 year old, even if it's ambiguous.

@vospie @AdamAshwor54082 @fesshole The law applies to adults who regularly coach, teach, train, supervise or instruct under-18s, but it doesn't apply to friends of parents. Simply being a family friend or neighbour doesn't create a "position of trust" under UK law.

If you run a club, or work there, and you get involved with a 16-19 year old, you're in trouble. Even if you're just a friend of the parents, you could be prosecuted under this law.
