Today, we celebrated Abravanel Hall being placed on the National Register of Historic Places. We’re delighted to honor nearly 50 years of this iconic cultural anchor—an enduring part of our historic downtown and a vibrant reflection of our community’s deepening love for the arts. We’re proud to be the steward of Abravanel Hall and we’re deeply grateful for our long-standing partnership with the Utah Symphony. We look forward to many more decades of partnership and to creating even more unforgettable experiences for the musicians, performers, staff, volunteers, and guests of Abravanel Hall.

@VoteSuz 7/11 literally mentions wings and drinks. This grift started 2023 and needs to end. WIC doesn't deliver; people have to visit a location for counseling, vouchers and then make purchases in person. SNAP recipients need same expectations!! about.doordash.com/en-us/news/doo…

I’ve been advocating for funding to be restored for SNAP nutrition benefits for low income Utahns. Disappointed w ongoing dysfunction in Washington, but grateful for a court order to protect vulnerable families & seniors from going hungry. #StopHunger #SupportWorkingFamilies

Don’t forget to vote!

Currently, investments in water infrastructure are paid for, in part, by property taxes. This ends up encouraging wasteful usage and shifts the tax burden for essential water infrastructure to home&business owners. We need a fee-based system where everyone pays their fair share

Salt Lake County Emergency Management is collecting donations for victims of the Millcreek fire that displaced 79 residents, including 41 who lost their homes permanently. The fire, sparked by a lawn mower on Friday near 1300 East and 4600 South, destroyed two buildings and damaged two others at the Willow Glen Apartments. While immediate needs have been met, officials are requesting in-kind donations such as clothing, hygiene items, and household goods. Donations can be dropped off at Millcreek City Hall through Friday, August 1. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
