Xi Van Fleet is an American patriot. She was born in China, lived through the Cultural Revolution, and was sent to work in the countryside at the age of 16. After Mao's death, she was able to go to college to study English and has lived in the United States since 1986. In 2021, she attended a school board meeting in Loudoun County, Virginia, and spoke with great passion about the danger, the madness, and the abject stupidity of Critical Race Theory. Cameras were rolling, thankfully, and her remarks went viral. I was among the millions inspired by her willingness to speak out, and thought to myself, “I’d love to meet this woman someday.” Well, today is that day. @XVanFleet has written two terrific books about what America must do to resist the slow creep of communism and socialism taking root all over our country. The most recent is called Made in America, and I can’t recommend it enough. The book contends that the U.S. not only failed to understand communism, it allowed the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to rise. Xi argues - very persuasively - that American business and political elites enabled this, and that the U.S. is now facing its greatest threat as a result. Xi now devotes all of her time and energy full to warning those who will listen about the dangers of communism, and the shocking parallels between what happened in China under Mao, and what’s happening in America today. I believe we ignore her at our peril. Our whole conversation is here. bit.ly/TWIHI482XiVanF…

HEY COUNTY ASSESSOR — THIS ONE’S FOR YOU. Let’s call this what it is. I’m being taxed on money I never made. Think about that. I bought my property in 2012 for $60,000. Now the county claims it’s worth $306,000. Did I sell it? No. Did I realize a profit? No. Did I receive a $306,000 check? Not even close. But my tax bill? That went up like I did. That’s the problem. This isn’t income. This isn’t cash. This is a number someone wrote down on paper — and now I’m expected to pay real money because of it. If my stock portfolio doubles, I don’t owe taxes until I sell. If my paycheck doesn’t increase, I don’t suddenly owe more income tax. So why is housing treated differently? Why am I being taxed on unrealized gains? A home isn’t just an asset on a spreadsheet — it’s where people live. And under this system, you can do everything “right,” pay off your house, and still get squeezed harder every year based on a theoretical value you never turned into cash. That’s not ownership. That’s renting from the government with extra steps. And spare me the talking points about “services” and “inflation.” This is about being billed for value you never received. People are waking up to it.

Hypothetically…….. I’m being taxed on money I never made. Let that sink in. If I bought my property outright for $60,000 in 2009 Now the county says it’s worth $246,000. Did I sell it? No. Did I make a profit? No. Did I get a check for $246,000? No. But my taxes jumped like I did. That’s the problem. This isn’t income. This isn’t cash. This is a number someone decided on paper — and now I’m being billed for it. If my stock portfolio doubles, I don’t pay taxes until I sell. If my income doesn’t increase, I don’t magically owe more income tax. So why does owning a home work differently? Why am I being taxed on unrealized gains? A house isn’t just an investment — it’s where people live. And this system means you can do everything right, pay off your home, and still get squeezed harder every year because of a number you never turned into money. You don’t truly own something if you can be taxed out of it. This isn’t about “services” or “inflation.” It’s about being charged for value you never received. And people are starting to notice. This needs to be on everyone’s mind✔️

Tons of young women, students and professionals, live and work in this part of Arlington. They walk everywhere. It is absolutely astounding how Democrats, the so-called party of women, continue to protect criminal illegal aliens - risking the safety and lives of young American women. Worse, they’ve done this after limiting the ability for women to carry firearms in Arlington, taking away self defense options while these creeps roam the streets. An enraging betrayal.
Nick Minock@NickMinock

🚨 It happened again. An illegal immigrant with a lengthy criminal history was arrested in Northern Virginia. This time a woman was waiting for a ride share in the morning when police say the illegal immigrant pushed her against a wall and attempted to rape her in Arlington. @DHSgov is calling on Arlington officials and Gov. Abigail Spanberger not to release the illegal immigrant back into the community. Last year, the Arlington County Board revised its policy to ban Arlington police officers from contacting ICE even when there are suspected or confirmed illegal immigrant gang members, human traffickers, and terrorists in the community.

The Gospel of John has Jesus saying “No one takes my life from me. I lay it down of my own accord” (John 10:18). He had the power to stop it and chose not to. In Gethsemane he prays “not my will but yours,” actively submitting. To make a statement like that is to highlight to the world you understand nothing about Christianity. Or Christ.

The Biblical Man
The Biblical Man@Biblicalman·
Joseph of Arimathea pulled a corpse off a cross with his bare hands. Blood under his fingernails. The weight of a dead man sagging into his arms. He wrapped God in linen, pressed the fabric into wounds that were still wet. Nicodemus brought seventy-five pounds of burial spice. A king's funeral for a man the world just murdered. They carried Him into a hole in the rock and rolled the stone shut. And everything you've ever done went in with Him. Every night you can't sleep because of what you did. Every morning, you can't look in the mirror. The thing you did to her. The thing you did to them. The lie you've been carrying so long it feels like bone. The version of you that drinks alone and pretends tomorrow will be different. That man was buried with Christ. Stone sealed. Done. Not managed. Not in therapy. Not on a payment plan with God where you slowly earn your way back. Buried. In a tomb. Under rock. Gone. Three days of silence. Three days of a cold body in the dark. Then the stone moved. And when He walked out, the grave clothes were folded on the slab. He didn't stumble out tangled in death. He left it sitting there like a man who's done with the clothes he used to wear. Lazarus needed someone to unwrap him. Death still clung to him even after he was breathing. Jesus folded His own burial linen and walked out clean. That's the difference between religion and resurrection. Religion unwraps you slowly. Asks you to manage your sin. Attend the class. Read the book. Try harder next week. Resurrection says the man who walked into that tomb is dead. The man who walked out doesn't know him. You're not fixing the old you. The old you is in a sealed tomb in Jerusalem, and he's not coming back. The man reading this, the one who thinks he's too far gone, you're not too far. You're already buried. The funeral happened two thousand years ago. Now get up. The stone's already moved. The linen's already folded. Walk out.

.@FoxandFriends @CarleyShimkus asked me what my message is on this Good Friday. I told them that I want people to know that Jesus Christ wasn’t killed. No, He went to the cross willingly! He willingly laid down His life and bled and died for your sins, and on the third day God raised Him back to life.

If you're under 53 years old, you have never once been alive while a human was farther than 250 miles from Earth. Tonight, four astronauts are heading 252,000 miles out. That's a thousand times farther than any person has gone in your lifetime. The 250-mile ceiling is where the International Space Station floats. Every astronaut since December 1972 has been stuck in that zone. Spacewalks, science experiments, cool photos from orbit, sure. But nobody left the neighborhood. The last crew to go farther was Apollo 17. December 1972. Nixon was president. The internet didn't exist. Cell phones were 11 years away. The youngest member of that crew is now 90 years old. The farthest any human has ever been from Earth is 248,655 miles. The Apollo 13 crew set that number in 1970, and they didn't mean to. Their oxygen tank blew up, and the emergency route home took them farther out than anyone before or since. Tonight's crew will break that record on purpose. And the crew itself. Victor Glover becomes the first Black astronaut to leave Earth's neighborhood. Christina Koch becomes the first woman. Jeremy Hansen, a Canadian fighter pilot, becomes the first non-American to do so. When they come home, they'll slam into the atmosphere at 25,000 mph, faster than any human has ever traveled. The Moon's south pole has ice. Water ice, sitting in craters so deep that sunlight hasn't hit them in billions of years. A 2024 NASA study found way more of it than anyone expected. You can split water into hydrogen and oxygen, which gives you rocket fuel, breathable air, and drinking water, all made on the Moon instead of hauled up from Earth. George Sowers at Colorado School of Mines calculated that Moon-made fuel could shave $12 billion off a single trip to Mars. The Moon is a gas station on the road to Mars. NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman announced last week a $20 billion plan to build a permanent base at the South Pole over the next seven years, with landings every six months. China is developing its own lunar lander and spacesuit, aiming for a crewed landing by 2030. The Artemis program has burned through $93 billion so far, and the first actual surface landing is penciled in for 2028. There's a real question of who gets there first this time around. Harrison Schmitt walked on the Moon in December 1972 as part of Apollo 17. He's 90. Asked about it this week, he sounded pretty relaxed. "Mars is attainable," he said. "We're humans. That's what we've always done."

We're going around the Moon. Come watch with us. Artemis II's four-astronaut crew is lifting off from @NASAKennedy on an approximately 10-day mission that will bring us closer to living on the Moon and Mars. The launch window opens at 6:24pm ET (2224 UTC). twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1…

There is no solution for the shortage of physicians outside of desirable metropolitan areas in the US. This is a consequence of these areas being 60-70 years into a process of outmigration. Doctors match the distribution of other skilled professions, but people somehow imagine physicians will choose to move to the towns that architects, engineers, scientists and even athletes and artists leave.

I honestly haven’t had the words because at this point, it’s just exhausting. Elected officials, paid to represent us, continue to fail to pass basic protections for women and girls in sports. This is common sense. This is reality. We’ve been speaking up for years - story after story, girl after girl - injured, silenced, or stripped of opportunities. What more do you want from us? I never got the chance to play collegiate sports because of decisions like this - because adults chose a false reality over real harm. Women across this country - on every side- are tired. The overwhelming majority agree: men and women are biologically different, and women deserve fair and safe spaces. Why won’t you protect us?
