I went against this and bought more at $66k this morning. Informing you for the sake of transparency. The Jane street development seems to be a bullish catalyst we did not have when this was posted, and the bounce off of $62k was strong.

My takeaways from Sam’s BBM win 1) It’s an advantage to advance a team with the lowest score possible weeks 1-14 for uniqueness 2) Pod luck is real and stupid but you aren’t allowed to complain about it 3) This game is not beatable

@Datphillykyd Yea I can’t make sense of it personally and this is not coming from a bitter person. I am in the finals. There are several teams that scored around 145 points and made it while teams in the 190’s are left out. Pure luck and no skill involved.

@vwstephe8 I know its a random process...but when teams with 180+ get sent home it just doesnt feel right...as you mentioned its too big a factor...like when the 7-9 Seahawks got a home playoff game and we all were like...

Dont get me wrong...I would take it any way it arrives...If I were advancing to week 17 BBM finals.. I would absolutely wanna be the dude on Diablo II's list of lowest score pod luck advancing teams...let me crawl on my knees and stumble into the finals with as few of the high scoring studs from week 16 as possible...the odds are heavily tilted against back to back sun runs in a game of such high variance Suddenly the low scoring teams are now more (+) ev in probability outcomes

I made the BBM finals. Probably will be my last year playing and this is coming from a person who is advancing. I hate to see teams that do not deserve to move on due to low scores, advance only due to “pod luck” . The best teams are not rewarded from top to bottom and to be unique you have to get a low scoring team to advance. Best team will not win it’s the pod luckiest. FYI I had higher scoring teams not advance. Also, most drafters will not turn a profit

Bought the dip on $META. There’s very few companies that I think will continue to do well in the new AI world, and $META is one of them. Social media (Instagram, Threads), messaging apps (WhatsApp), LLM (Llama), AI powered wearables (Meta glasses)… But if they nail down the metaverse… …it’s game over.
