@Edinburgh_CC here is an example of what it’s like to travel via bus across Edinburgh. taken over 30 minutes to travel Gilmerton Station Road at bypass to little learners nursery in Liberton. 1.5 miles max. Two sets temp lights on same Lasswade road. Shambles!

@edintravel stay away from Junction Lasswade Road and captains road near Liberton. Totally gridlocked. Bus hardly moved in 25 mins.

@on_lothianbuses here we go again. Said 25 mins ago bus due at 3pm. Been standing for 12 mins. Nothing. And now 2 coming together then another 5 mins later. This 31 is not a reliable service at all.

Oh now our bus is totally full and the other 31 has driven past 3 stops and not picked anyone up. Yeh well done Lothian buses.

Confirmation that the Lasswade Road / Kirkgate temporary traffic lights are scheduled for removal early tomorrow morning with reinstatement work completed out today. Lengthy queues on all approaches this evening. #edintravel

Long delays on Lasswade Road from Lang Loan to (overrunning) roadworks at Kirkgate junction. Liberton Brae / Liberton Gardens also very slow after Kaimes crossroads with cable repairs ongoing at Alnwickhill Road junction. #edintravel

@on_lothianbuses you may as well divert all 31 buses. Kirk Brae on Liberton has 4 way temp lights stuck on red. Have stood in a 31 going nowhere for 25 mins. Tour driver has not called this in.

@edintravel @Edinburgh_CC who is overseeing this ? The Liberton area is at a total standstill. Sitting on a bus for 45 mins and going nowhere. There are temp lights on Kirk Brae, Liberton Brae and Liberton Road. The disruption is material. Who is accountable for this.

@midgov Roads gridlocked. Emissions increased Environmental impact. All due to ridiculous approval of new “paths” Melville roundabout. It’s shambolic. No progress in days. It’s a mess! Who is responsible to oversee and sort it out?? This is 100% the councils fault. A joke.
