@Shadabshs The payment part is just one point. This is more of a side project to work on and learn. I agree current models still struggle with with video stuff. That might change in the future. I am curious what's your definition of high quality for screen recording tools.

@walterlow88 There are alternatives of screenstudio with one time payment. Why didn't you look for them? Irrespective of the AI modal you use it's almost impossible to reach the high quality of screen recording tools.

I have bought software and not upgraded due to companies moving towards subscription models. With models and harnesses getting better, I think we will see a huge influx of personal software moving foward. Here's me making a personalize clone of SnagIt/ScreenStudio clone with Tauri in about 2 weeks of steering. I am alternating between Claude Code and OpenCode. Both are great tools. What a time to be alive!

@hunvreus this.. tried setting something similar up and realized I spend more time understanding how to work it instead of doing actual work. Now it's just me and one or two tabs of agents, prompt and go.

My feed is filled with folks bragging about their insane setups; multiple agents in parallel, skills, MCP, sub-agents, kanbans, … 90% of this is absolute bullshit. You already get insane amount of value with a single agent out of the box, and stay busy with what it generates.

@MaximeRivest some days I clear a week's worth of task in a few hours with opus.

Since the Opus 4.5 release things have changed, yet the world has not changed. I am quite convinced it's a sort of calm before the storm. There is just no way that I am the only one with such improvements in my capabilities and efficiency.

@trq212 just wanted to see how far i can push a snagit/screenstudio/ all in one app with Tauri. 0 Rust knowledge XD
