@0xlelouch_ scales like balls. sockets are stateful and http is stateless. lack of state makes http much easier to load balance.

Wow, I called @sonic support, and the person was actually really competent? Like, I just said "can you see our ONT box, or is the problem downstream of that?" and he was like "I see your ONT, but it looks like you've got an extra switch between it and the router, can you remove that, and then I'll remotely clear the MAC table, and I'll let you know when your router gets a new IP address?" and then we did that, and it fixed the issue.
If I'm going to complain about bad incompetent support, I should give credit when their support surprises me by just having a knowledgable person who says real words immediately.

@razoorka @GergelyOrosz Yeah I agree with this. The person in the main post sounds like they have former teammates on a similar trajectory, working at larger orgs with space and headroom. I ran into a local maxima problem where the teams I wanted to be on weren't the teams where close refs. were.
