To: The Headquarters, Nigerian Army @HQNigerianArmy To: The Honorable Minister of Defence Defence Headquarters Nigeria To: The National Security Adviser @NSAGov Nuhu Ribadu I am writing to formally draw your attention to the highly unprofessional and divisive conduct of Lt. E.S Bot, who is currently serving as a Chaplain with the 35 Artillery Brigade in Maiduguri. It has become evident that Lt. E.S Bot has crossed the redline and the bounds of professional military conduct by engaging in religious bigotry and blasphemy. Such behavior is not only a violation of military discipline but also a direct threat to the unity of the armed forces. The Nigerian Army is a symbol of national unity. Allowing religious bigots to remain within the ranks especially in influential positions like the Chaplaincy risks tarnishing the image of the military and sowing seeds of division among personnel. A professional military must remain strictly neutral and secular in its operations to maintain the trust of a diverse population. We call on the military high command, as a matter of urgency to: 1. Investigate the recent blasphemous statements made by Lt. E.S Bot. 2. Hold him accountable for his actions in accordance with the Armed Forces Act. 3. Reinforce the standard of neutrality expected of all officers to prevent future occurrences. Failure to address this immediately could undermine the morale and unity of our troops. A stitch in time saves nine. @HQNigerianArmy @OfficialDSSNG @HQNigerianArmy @OfficialDSSNG @HQNigerianArmy @HQNigerianArmy @OfficialDSSNG

You are not even ashamed of yourself with this your take? Why should any military Man involved himself in religious debate or even insult another religion? Do you know the said Bigot have already taken his facebook account down because he knows what he did is wrong? But you are here defending him because he is a Christian…
NIGERIAFIRST@Oriafarrell1

Do you have a video of him treating people In a way that suggests bigotry? This is probably another attempt to punish him for saying what some overzealous Muslims find offensive. He is good enough to die for the freedom of mostly muslims In the north east, but can't speak freely

Kidnappers of that young man from Jos came online again, proving he is still alive. In the same breath, they mock the public , urging over a thousand people who commented on the post announcing his death to contribute 10k each to complete his ransom. As if that isn’t enough, they went further to openly challenge the Governor of Plateau State, daring him to attempt a rescue and see what will happen. Tell me, in all honesty, how does this reflect a country that is truly functioning? May Nigeria never happen to us. Abdul Abdul M

DISRESPECT TO OUR PROPHET (PBUH) DEMANDS IMMEDIATE MILITARY DISCIPLINE We express our deep concern and strong discomfort over reports that a member of the Nigerian Army with service number N/20065 made insulting remarks about Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), a figure revered by millions of Muslims. This is not a minor issue. It touches on the dignity, faith, and emotional well-being of a large segment of Nigerian citizens. Anyone entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining peace and security must demonstrate discipline, neutrality, and respect for all religions. When a person in uniform acts otherwise, it raises serious questions about professionalism and public trust. It also creates fear and concern that Muslims may not feel safe in the hands of such an individual. If such behavior goes unchecked, it risks undermining confidence in those assigned to protect every citizen equally. We therefore call for: •A thorough and transparent investigation into the incident •Appropriate disciplinary action in line with military rules and national laws •A clear reaffirmation of the Nigerian Army’s commitment to religious tolerance and professionalism As Muslims, we uphold patience, dignity, and justice. We reject disrespect, and we also reject disorder and violence. Our demand is simple: respect our faith and uphold accountability. Nigeria can only remain united when justice and mutual respect are upheld for all.
