Furthermore, the agreement emphasizes capacity building for media practitioners on electoral processes to ensure that coverage remains consistent, accurate, and ethical across all media. During the session, @AMWIK ED, @QueenterMbori, underscored the necessity of standardized guidelines and training manuals while also stressing the importance of the safety and security of journalists on the frontlines. Echoing this sentiment, @IEBCKenya's Dr. Alutalala Mukhwana, Chairperson of the Voter Education, Partnerships, Communication & Stakeholder Engagement Committee, emphasized that trust is the foundation of this partnership. He noted that the media is essential in helping citizens navigate electoral mechanics and serves as the primary line of defense against the dis/misinformation.

We believe that the two-thirds gender rule is the backbone of a balanced, representative democracy. @AMWIK and @FNF_Kenya are reiterating our call to political parties and other key institutions to turn rhetoric into action. From dismantling financial hurdles to training our female leaders in public speaking, strategic campaigning, and resilience, we are committed to ensuring women are not just present, but powerful. #WomenLeadershipKE @QueenterMbori @RobiKOchieng @museka123 @MarthaKarua @ORPPKenya @Judiekaberia @ojsamsons @zubeidahkananu @ORPPKenya #TV47NewsNow

How far are our institutions in ensuring the 2/3 gender rule is realized as the 2027 elections loom? 🇰🇪 @AMWIK, in partnership with @FNF_Kenya, hosted government representatives, political parties, private and public sector players and the media for the National Two-Thirds Principle Scorecard Conference. The essence of this gathering was to scrutinize our progress and understand the measures the institutions are are putting in place to meet the constitutional threshold. #WomenLeadershipKE @QueenterMbori @RobiKOchieng @ORPPKenya @KenyaEditors @PLPartyKenya @IEBCKenya @parliamentkenya @UDAKenya @Judiekaberia
