The final part of the Water Safety Code is FLOAT. Make sure that your children know what to do if they fall in the water - spread their arms and legs like a star, float and shout for help. If you see someone else in the water, throw them something that floats and call for help.

Part three of the Water Safety Code… CALL 999. In an emergency, never enter the water yourself to rescue someone, instead call 999. This is the best way that you can ensure the safety of the person in difficulty & yourself. Do your children know who to call in an emergency?
