DRAPER, Utah (ABC4) — A Draper plastic surgeon has been charged after the alleged rape and sexual assault of an employee spanning four years, according to Draper Police. Jed Reed Bindrup, 63, was charged Friday with two counts of object rape (first-degree felony) and four counts of forcible sexual abuse (second-degree felony).

A New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) employee and her inmate boyfriend have been indicted for running a prostitution ring that allegedly involved pimping out a child. The disturbing allegations unfolded throughout the latter half of 2025 and spanned from Manhattan to upstate New York. WHY IT MATTERS This case highlights the serious issue of human trafficking and the exploitation of minors, even involving individuals who are supposed to be in positions of authority and public trust. THE DETAILS According to the indictment, the DOCCS employee and her felon boyfriend were running a prostitution operation that spanned multiple locations in New York State. The disturbing allegations include claims that they were pimping out a child as part of their criminal enterprise.

Every once in a while something comes across my desk that makes me think "ok - need to make an example of this". Today just became such a day. From time to time various people submit a message on tas.news to "correct the record" as it were. Today someone submitted for a correction to the record and I don't think they expected it to become the example I'm going to make of it. This person wanted to correct the record because they took a "plea deal" and a few other things. So I and my news person did what we almost always do - we investigated and found something that is a pattern we have seen countless times. The pattern is "surrender" and/or "walk away voluntarily" to escape the real weight of consequences. This guy was grooming underage girls so when they turned 18 he could have them. Court documented the pattern of behavior - but apparently he got a "soft" DA that allowed him to basically walk without any real consequence. He even groomed a foster child. The staff knew but were made to stay quiet about it. I've attached a few screenshots showing some interesting tidbits about his case and MA law. I also find it interesting his name was misspelled in the online court system - trying to hide something yet again assholes? I've provided the link to his record directly so y'all can go look for yourselves at the news article and information presented. This demonstrates yet again why I and so many others will keep doing what we do (the noticing shall continue!!!) until this plague is ended.
