@wealthrewired8 Everyone plays a different game, some of us are right some of us get burnt, you just have to go with what you believe!

@HorseyFever Very true. I know many people who have sold their stocks at a loss to cover expenses, or used credit cards and paid monthly, which ends up affecting their budget every month.

You should not be investing at all. If you do not have emergency fun which is around 6 - 12 months.

@wealthrewired8 I agree but it depends what you need the cash for? If it’s an emergency then it works but if it’s to deploy into the market, it’s completely different

@wealthrewired8 Depends on your job, I believe a credit card could be a good emergency fund if it’s managed well.

@Dividend_Learn She has a teachers pension which is one of the best pensions in the uk. So I believe she can take a bit of risk, I just want her to understand their is other options than keeping it in the bank. Own a company she loves!

That’s class! Love stories like this, i had one of my cleaners at work telling me about Nvidia quite a few years ago. He could see the growth then, but I wasn’t so sure and wasn’t in the best situation to invest. I wasn’t 100% convinced and couldn’t get involved, he’s not a cleaner at the club anymore 😂😩

That's amazing, well done! My mrs is also not too much into investing. She kind of follows what I do. But she works in IT and whenever she gets excited about a new tool or service, we check if that company is stock listed. A few years back she was for instance pointing out that she sees many firms ordering $AMD products and was surprised that the stock was down so much. So we bought some which wasn't the worst idea.

Why is the UK so different to the US when it comes to investing? Half of my friends have no idea and the other half see it as gambling? Why are we not taught this from a young age? I’ve missed many years because I did not understand, I will not let my kids make the same mistake.
