It's all falling apart for @MarkJCarney. He's pissed of the left wing of the @liberal_party, Stephen Guilbeault is leaving, Eby is carping at him & Alberta is furious with the pipeline MOU as is the Prosperity Project. He's now lost the support of the Bloc Quebecois. By insisting that a simple majority on any separation referendum would be subject to the Clarity Act, he's gutted the Bloc's mandate. He was hammered in the HoC today.

Canada clearly has a chicken problem. While prices are skyrocketing, Canada imported roughly 200–215 million kilograms of chicken over the past year — enough for about 1.3 to 1.4 billion chicken meals. About 60% comes from the U.S., and most Canadians have no clue. Under supply management, we’re supposed to eat mostly Canadian chicken at a reasonable price.

This is insane. Bill C-22 goes too far.

Today, I spoke with the President Herzog of Israel. I reiterated that the appalling treatment of civilians aboard the Gaza-bound flotilla was unacceptable, and that respect for human dignity must be upheld everywhere, at all times. I underlined the imperative of de-escalation in the Middle East, and the importance of a genuine resumption of dialogue among all parties. Progress toward peace and stability in the region must remain the clear, shared objective.
