✨ Today I thought what if I ask Cursor to build a flight simulator
So I asked "make a 3d flying game in browser with skyscrapers"
And after many questions and comments from me I now have the official [ ✈️ Pieter .com Flight Simulator ] in vanilla HTML and JS
It's in my beach town, so there's a runway, land, a cliff and a beach

✨ Third day working on [ lo fi air traffic control 🇧🇷 edition ] with Cursor Today I added a 📡 radar screen so you can see the flights that are talking on the ATC live with @flightradar24 It involved one question to Cursor: "do u have any idea about how to add a radar view of flights of Brasilia airport to my site?" And then asking it to style it a bit more like a radar: "AMAZING WORK!! right now the border of the radar view is the same as arrivals board. i think we wanna try make it look like a real radar view waht u think? something like this image. we can use color filters?" And then not liking that and reverting back to how it was: "ok iw ant the radar scren to be square like arrival board"

but 4.5 years later, the trillion-parameter models never came. we’re still squarely in 50-150B territory, just training our models better and running them longer
why? is this an electrical power thing? do we not have enough tokens of text data? what’s the real reason has no one scaled a dense model to 1T params yet?
