I loved Project Hail Mary - but damn the 'this was all practical' talk is such BS. I would probably say that 80% of the Rocky shots are HEAVILY CGI'd - and the rig removal on the space stunts require an entire digital replacement of the torso, hips, and legs. There is a reason those big rigs can be built and NOT have to be hidden inside the suit - because its all eventually replaced. Rocky is in a TRANSPARENT BALL... how do people think they remove the puppeteers from the shots? The work is all incredible. Its such an amazing marriage of physical work and digital - coming together so seamlessly that people assume that one entire department - a department that likely makes up over 50% of the workforce - just doesn't exist. THATS how good their work is. Please stop minimizing the artists work.
