@cbsgy12 @GSerbin_25 @ChiefCub They also started to swing more for hrs instead of putting the ball in play. Amaya has been very good this year at that double down the left field line. Oddly he has been very bad against lefties

@GSerbin_25 @ChiefCub That doesn’t help, but people seem to forget that in the midst of the offense taking a dip, they faced a gauntlet of top pitching. The pitchers they face in like a 10 day span would make any offense struggle: Abbott, Gore, Skubal, Flaherty, Wheeler, Luzardo, Skenes, Peralta

@HoernerMVP I feel like Berti’s bat is better than Brujan. Brujan prob a little faster. Glove wise they are prob similar with Berti being a bit better . We have plenty of lefty bats so I’d prob vote for Berti and could keep McGuire as lefty bat

Is it possible that the Cubs DFA Berti or Brujan and keep 3 catchers when Amaya comes back? Positional versatility and all that but Berti and Brujan are useless and McGuire is playing well

@crawlyscubs That and he had a hard time catching high velocity and was a terrible framer . And couldn’t do the most basic thing like setting a good target for the pitcher

I didn’t like this crap when he was with the #Cubs, I like it even less now. Reminds me of Carlos Zambrano. Nicest guy off the field, but a hot head between the lines. It’s a tired act. There were a couple of reasons the Cubs were not looking to extend him, this is one of them
