Have been spending a lot of time talking to people about running for office and trying to understand the process… Main takeaways I get told are that there’s a “line” of people who the seat can get passed down to by the incumbent and that if i attempt to cut the line and primary the incumbent I’ll “get taken out at the knees financially” by the incumbent… Why is this? Bc there’s essentially a pay to play with a national party committee that prevents others from running which leads to the incumbent running unopposed 80% of the past 5 cycles…and no local campaign managers will work with me bc they’ll get blacklisted by the national party… Doesn’t sound like democracy to me… So, if I decide to do this, I have to expose and break a national party system…which after a few hours on excel going through campaign finances is almost done and it’s the right thing to do… As for campaign managers…if I think I have a better pulse on the area and definitely better ideas than anyone else, I think ill just run my own campaign and surround myself with a brain trust of bright young minds who think differently and want to challenge the system and actually innovate… Like Sisyphus we gotta keep pushing the boulder up this hill baby 🗳️

California just passed a bill to seize #Bitcoin left idle on exchanges. After 3 years of inactivity, assets can be taken by the state under 'Unclaimed Property' laws. Bill now heads to the Senate.
