@Absolute_Kganki @TMFoundation_ The ANC was in charge of education for the last 30 years. Whose fault is it that the majority of school leavers are unemployable, and what are they doing about it?

“The majority of South Africans are unemployed because they’re unemployable, they’re unemployable because they don’t have the necessary skills to drive a modern economy. We boast about having so many people on the SASSA social welfare program as if it’s an achievement whereas it’s a failure.” - President Thabo Mbeki 🇿🇦

@PMashatile It's not social cohesion and nation building if you keep supporting BEE and racial quotas everywhere, but you the high life from your expensive mansion while ordinary rugby supporters can't afford tickets. #SARugbyAwards #PaulMashatile

@eNCA ANC minister Pemmy Majodina spells it out crystal clear: South Africa's water shortages is due to the ANC-run municipalities' zero maintenance of infrastructure and zero-skills cadre deployment. So the ANC blames... the ANC!! Problem solved, comrades!

Taking an anti-Israel stance is a core part of ANC identity and foreign policy they look principled internationally and can rally some niche support at home. But the average voter is concerned about jobs, electricity, and safety. The pro-Iran stance may cost them dearly from a domestic and international perspective - possibly even sanctions?

@CyrilRamaphosa Cyril's preaching dialogue again. What happened to the ANC's R441 million (or more) National Dialogue flop? Nothing good came out of it, only enriched consultants and cadres.

ANC - African National Congress
Today, President Cyril Ramaphosa unveiled landmark statues of struggle icons and Comrade Presidents of the ANC, Nelson Mandela and Oliver Tambo, in Durban, honouring their sacrifice and historic leadership in the liberation struggle. These statues stand as solemn reminders that freedom was never free. They affirm a promise by a democratic people to remember the cost of liberation and call on the present and future generations to actively build a just, united, and better nation.

DIRCO's feeble response- We abstained on UN condemnation because we wanted to hear both sides. Classic ANC - When the Islamic State in Tehran is killing civilians, the fat cat cadres demands a commission of enquiry to 'balance' the massacre. Delay forever, waste millions, condemn or arrest no one. We've seen this before in South Africa.

Question: South Africa was criticised for not condemning the Iranian government’s crackdown on protesters earlier this year in Tehran. Critics have accused us of being selective in our foreign policy – being, for example, vocal about human rights in Palestine but silent when Tehran suppresses its own people. What is the government’s response to this? Response: “A week into the protests, we put out a statement saying that we promote and respect the fundamental freedoms of Iranians and they have to have the right to respond, they have the right to protest and for freedom of association, and we were really concerned about reports of abuses of protesters by the Iranians. There was a resolution of the UN, which we would have supported, but critically … we abstained because we asked for, together with many other countries, that in that resolution, they should mention the fact there is a geopolitical context in which the protests were taking place and the responses thereto, and we asked for an independent investigation, cognisant of the geopolitical context and claims that some of the protesters were armed with weapons, and this was based on video and other evidence that showed that police personnel from Iran were killed… So we were asking for an independent investigation and, one, to look at the human rights abuses by the Iranian government, and two, to look at if there was outside interference and arming of elements of the protesters. Because that would have given us a fuller view, with an independent UN-led panel as to what was happening. So it’s not that we didn’t say anything, we did put out a press release criticising the Iranian government.” dailymaverick.co.za/article/2026-0…

Firing a missile at Turkey is crazy and very dangerous. It speaks of a regime in Tehran that will now commit self-destruction in the hope that just before the end one of its enemies will make a mistake or give up. After all, Turkey is a NATO member country and NATO earlier today shot down a missile that was on its way from Iran to Turkey. The attacks on Gulf countries are already a huge escalation in the conflict. If Iran were to try to attack a NATO member country, it would be a much bigger escalation. The attempt to attack Turkey speaks of the deepening rift between Iran and the Arab world that will further isolate the remnants of the Iranian regime. For now, the chances are increasing by the hour that more countries can be drawn into this conflict. And this includes the Gulf countries, Turkey and of course many European powers.

I'm fed up with one-sided "humanitarian" hot takes. Iranian protesters crushed by their regime? Their lives matter. Israelis slaughtered on Oct 7? Their lives matter. Islamic State officials and IRGC guards and IDF & Israeli troops? Yes - they are also people who bleed. Any war brings a human devastation. Act with integrity: mourn all the lives lost. No exceptions. @ThuliMadonsela3
