Goes some way towards explaining the radicalisation of the Democrat party, including seemingly normal suburban women, in favour of violence, assassinations, mocking Charlie Kirk’s death etc From: Alexa Ispas, ‘Psychology and Politics — A social identity perspective’, (2013).

@Dashytwo In Scandinavian countries, food is not a cultural staple there the way it is in other places mainly because the land was historically too poor for farming. They eat because they have to and a lot of the traditional dishes are, well, bland to just disgusting.

Starfield solved this for the first time and had actually convincingly scaled cities but it just proved this was always a shit criticism because it didn't make the game any bettter.

@Gabby_Hoffman @AnUnspokenHeart Exactly. They keep attacking women and threatening to take our rights away. Why would any woman vote Right when the Right is so patriarchal?

It's very upsetting that many women are trending Left. If you want more women to become conservative and counter radical feminism, several pieces of advice: 1) Refrain from repeal the 19th Amendment talk 2) Stop condemning women who work 3) Promote flexible work arrangements that allow women to balance work and home life 4) Retake affordability messaging 5) Focus on kitchen table Issues @IWF has dedicated 30+ years to addressing this challenge. That's an interesting chart. Young men have stayed similarly conservative for over 25 years, while young women have drifted much further left. Why such a divergence? What has changed for young women that hasn't changed for young men?

@Gulluf921 @Sargon_of_Akkad Or “people of colour” which just lumps all non-whites together as a monolith. There are other groups of white people that group all non-whites together too, but the lefties think they disagree with those groups 🤷

There's a weird thing on the left which is that you can basically occupy any position on the economy that you like. You can just say "I'm for unlimited migration for big business because of the pensions/NHS" or "I'm for total state ownership of the means of production" etc, and none of it prevents you from being on the left. But you have one opinion on the character of foreigners, or what a woman is, or the limits of state interference in one's life, and suddenly you are far right. There's a greentext about this that tells us much about what leftism is actually about, because it seems to be completely accurate.

I have quite an odd origin story for being an Anglophile, which is that I first fell in love with British cooking. I had heard so often the stereotype of it being terrible, so I went to an English pub and actually tried the stuff. I found it phenomenal and fitting to my palette. It really is quite great. Bangers and mash, beef Wellington, shepherds pie, meat pies, yes even things like beans on toast are all great, hearty food that is honestly my favorite cuisine. My favorite breakfast of all is a full English, with black pudding and all, alongside a cup of English breakfast tea with a splash of milk. I am actually of the belief that this particular stereotype was actually crafted specifically to facilitate mass replacement migration, to build false pretenses that the native ethnic foods and culture of European peoples were simply inferior to nons, when that could not be further from the truth.

@RobertMSterling What I find strange is how opposite the situation feels to the USA. The police in the US want to do the right thing and police the streets, but are often blocked from doing so. It feels like the police in the UK are *part* of the problem.

@GoldenKaos @HollowAfro @nifinof You're defending people who turn "otsukaresamadeshita", a plain, everyday greeting that's 100% normal language, delivered in a formal register, into "aight im outtie 5000" which is quirked up to high heaven

@z53247946 @ADevSergey @tauqk "I will not put you under a Command Spell", a reference to the Fate franchise? Fascism it is, boys, we're so cooking! (curiously every other translator got it right as can be seen below)

@z53247946 @ADevSergey @tauqk The expression is utterly everyday, and said in a polite register. The "translators" just put insanely over the top chronically online meme quips there instead because it was more fun to them.

This scene is even more insane in English. Localization team understood the assignment and the VA delivered, this is how dubs should be done.
