As you may have noticed, we’ve seen rather more wokery than greenery from the Green party since Zack Polanski took the helm. If you’re wondering why, a party policy document on transport, revealed by the Mail, might give you a clue. The party wants to reduce motorway and dual carriageway speed limits to 55 mph, impose Welsh-style 20 mph limits in towns and (according to some sources) slap on a default 40 mph elsewhere. The party would hike fuel taxes, make parking more difficult even outside one’s own home, and bring in a more demanding driving test including such things as knowledge of how a car works, and impose it on drivers every five years. Driving would explicitly be made a privilege and not a right. ✍️ Andrew Tettenborn Article | spectator.com/article/the-gr…

All very well. But when it was the Tories having to deal with the hard-left resident doctors’ leaders, Labour pols like Wes Streeting said a deal could be reached if only the Tory government negotiated with them properly. So what’s the excuse for no deal now?
LBC@LBC

"We could have built a few hospitals with that..." Strikes by resident doctors have cost £3 billion over the last few years. Wes Streeting tells @NickFerrariLBC what the money could have been spent on if the strikes had been prevented.

Reeves pats herself on the back. The woman who once ludicrously posed as the Iron Chancellor, hiked taxes, wasted billions on benefits, destroyed jobs and crushed economic growth. She’s totally out of her depth.

🚨 A growing number of countries are demanding reparations from Britain. These countries ignore the fact that Britain made huge sacrifices to be the first major power to outlaw slavery and enforce this prohibition. Of the countries demanding reparations, Tory and Labour governments issued 3.8 million visas to their nationals and sent them a staggering £6.6 billion in foreign aid over the last 2 decades. Enough is enough. We are putting these countries on notice. From this point, should any country formally demand reparations from Britain, a Reform government will respond by immediately halting the issuance of new visas to their nationals.

You said you'd limit spending increases to £9.5 billion a year. But you've already increased spending 15 times faster, by £146 billion. Hence the tax rises. Hence the stagnation. You lied, and you've failed. x.com/RachelReevesMP…

Parliament might not be sitting but that doesn't stop MPs like the Green Party's newest recruit Hannah Spencer. Last wk she fought fascism by marching, dancing & clothes shopping. She even found the time to squat down by a river & call out the water companies
