just met a cute girl at this wedding i’m at like actually cute. objectively dangerous face card. we’re talking. vibes are immaculate. she’s laughing at my jokes. i’m in my bag. then work got brought up, she says it “i write code” my ears PERKED up i played it cool. i said “oh nice, what LLM do you use?” she said “i’m a ChatGPT stan" and that’s where a normal person would’ve said “cool, me too” and gotten her number but i am not a normal person my brain instantly went into terminal mode and i said “what do you think of the new model?” she looked confused i kept going "5.6 Sol broke into hugging face? Are you kidding me. It escaped containment with zero day exploits? Did you see that the new meta is using claude code as a harness with GPT 5.6 Sol to do the work and Fable to judge and direct?" she laughed nervously and said “what” and i said “And don't even get me started on the beef between Sama and Elon” she said “what” and i said “so do you even follow the development cycles?” she said “I literally have a ChatGPT plus subscription” the vibe was GONE just vanished. Just like perplexity. her friend pulled her away. she didn’t look back. i was standing there alone at a wedding holding a drink i wasn’t even sipping, doing MENTAL MATH on how someone could claim to be a software developer and think a GPT Plus sub deserved that same recognition. my cousin walked over and said “bro she looked into you what happened” i said “she’s a casual” he said “so?” SO??? i then realized i would rather cut off my entire family than to share a bloodline with someone of the same species that couldn’t comprehend this she had a pretty face but a DISGUSTING perspective on life that i just couldn’t get behind could’ve had her number she could’ve been the mother of my children COULD’VE. but now at least she knows i know ball and honestly that’s worth more

this is so cool! ig what interests me most is exploring the range of legal, mechanical, and historically contingent pathways by which the same implicit exposure could be constituted as a fungible/tradable claim, and how each pathway produces a differently constituted residual firm

@qualiascript reminds me of dis @jessi_cata post, ig it feels like its additive sibling. idk something like: currying categorifies a^(bc)=(a^b)^c, while this categorifies a^(b+c)=a^b·a^c biproducts let you iterate the decomposition in both directions and get matrices unstableontology.com/2025/11/15/mat…

alco ⊢ ꙮ
alco ⊢ ꙮ@qualiascript·
there's lots of weird adjunctions and isomorphisms but this one is especially commonly occurring so much so that it feels like it should be a lot more essential and important, but in every instance, it's like its effect boils down to "well duh, you can write it in both ways"

why is it that currying (or more generally, the product-exponential adjunction) is an isomorphism that appears in all categories with products and exponents, but its main practical use seems to be writing less boilerplate functional code? there's gotta be a deeper layer to it
