Since starting Decent, @ashegan and the Archetype team have been an invaluable resource along every step of the journey — let’s go!
Archetype@archetypevc

World-changing products come not from established institutions, but from visionary founders and fast-moving startups looking to challenge the status quo. We’re beyond excited to announce Archetype III today, a $100M fund dedicated to accelerating a founder-led future. At Archetype, we’ve never been more excited about the future of crypto: + technical innovations in blockchain performance have enabled onchain applications to become sleek mobile-first experiences + blockchain throughput and capabilities are finally reaching parity with web2 + stablecoins are creating a $250B (and counting) global payments network + onchain social networks are emerging as a new way for people to connect while owning and leveraging their own data + and crypto is credibly proving it can contribute to foundational innovation in AI while unlocking a new generation of enterprise and consumer use cases With this $100M of fresh capital, we’re continuing to foster relationships with maniacal founders, operate as their most dedicated advocates, and expand on the deep network and community we’ve built with Funds I and II. We’ve already begun deploying capital from our third fund into several startups still in stealth. These will join a portfolio that includes @privy_io, @monad, @Hut8Corp, @farcaster_xyz, @RemixGG_, @ritualnet, @RelayProtocol, and other category-leading companies. Archetype has always been a very high-touch partner to the entrepreneurs we back, putting our relationships and commitment to collaboration front and center. We bring early conviction and perspective to teams of risk takers working to bend the future to their will. Where most funds bring safety and scale, Archetype offers edge and inevitability. Massive thanks to our investors for placing your trust in us, and to all of the founders who have allowed us to build alongside you. We're honored to play a part in crypto's future and continue accelerating the programmable future with you all.

people who have been using the em dash long before ai know that it’s the jazz riff of punctuation, the tightrope between intuition and impulse, the trapdoor for digressions—it’s the writing fidget spinner for centrifugal thinkers

Cannot speak highly enough about @octane_security and @giovignone, while traditional audits are always valuable, leveraging octane helped us uncover several missed bugs, and speed up our development cycles. Truly a must for crypto-first teams
Gio@giovignone

🚨 We found 2 key vulnerabilities in @decentxyz’s UTB cross-chain protocol during development despite them undergoing 2 separate manual audits! Curious how leading crypto teams catch hidden bugs before they're exploited—and stay bulletproof from Day 1?

It’s impossible to get fully censored by a centralized sequencer because you can always force L2 transactions via its native L1.

Great to be featured, huge fan of @0xASK and the rest of the Omni team. 1) Secure abstraction layers are vital for a chain-agnostic future. 2) "Commerce automation" will be ubiquitous, as it's the best way to decouple settlement from UX while avoiding "walled gardens"

@mrice32 Think this is incorrect/false equivalence? Capital efficiency for most lock+mint dependent on block confirmations, whereas capital efficiency for intents dependent on protocol specific settlement requirements, ultimately comparing apples and oranges here no?

“intents aren’t capital efficient” Intents are _exactly_ as capital efficient as lock + mint or any form of message-based bridging The only difference is whose tokens are locked: - non-intents: user funds are locked - intents: user pays solver to have their funds locked instead
Hyperbridge@hyperbridge

@BlkBoxEconomist @houdz_kek @base @AcrossProtocol Yes but messaging is more capital efficient than intents. And intents ultimately waits for finality on amounts larger than $10k because of the added risk.

@decentrek how do you view the tradeoffs around unifying balances? i.e. if I'm a user who wants to hold a token on say chain A (for airdrop incentives or other reasons), but spend that same token on chain B, does unifying user balances lead to unwanted behavior?

Some questions I plan to go over (from replies to the launch tweet): - Can Magic Accounts work for EOAs - What are the fees with Magic Accounts - How to prevent the user from double spending solvers - How do solvers deal with finality risks If I missed anything lemme know!
