This is now the rooftop of the building next to mine. Constant 70dB noise from HVAC equipment, 24 hours a day. Residents have filed dozens of complaints, yet the City of Vancouver has refused to take action. Industrial-scale infrastructure like this has no place in a dense downtown residential neighbourhood.
And it occupies prime real estate(for homes or businesses) to provide only ~50 permanent jobs on site. Massive fail, data centre should be in some rural or industrial area

There is absolutely no fucking reason a data Center needs to be in the downtown core of a city centre. The sound pollution alone will drive ppl batshit insane. And it’s already crazy enough down there.

I found out recently that I was deceived by social activists in an elaborate scheme dating back to January. A production group with what I now know has a fake name and fake identities gave me a friendly interview about my book A Day with Sir John A, and about Sir John A Macdonald, back in Feb.
They connected me with a fake company called Heritage Figures Canada with a fake website and "hired" me to perform consulting work for them. We had what I now know were fake meetings, fake documents, fake commercial shoot, fake prototype of a Sir John A collectible. Then in a second filmed interview last week, they turned on me, and it was revealed to have all been a setup in order to demonize Sir John A and smear me.
It turns out this is a taxpayer-funded CBC and APTN project. There is so much more, I will make a video. They also deceived @FrancesWiddows1

In Alberta, 80% (135B barrels) of the oil sands are buried too deep below the surface for open pit mining and can only be accessed through in-situ methods such as Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD).
With the SAGD technique, a pair of horizontal wells, situated 5m above the other, is drilled from a central well pad.
In a plant nearby, water is transformed into steam which then travels through above-ground pipelines to the wells and enters the ground via a steam injection (top) well.
The steam heats the heavy oil to a temperature at which it can flow by gravity into the producing (bottom) well.
The steam injection and oil production happen continuously and simultaneously.
No fracking required. 🫡🪒

Forget about Trump. Carney has been in power for over a year, why are there no shovels in the ground building pipeline to both coasts? And no new mines under development? This is 💯% Carney's fault. He claimed he would "move at speeds not seen in a generation". Travelling the world trying to drum up trade deals won't work! *** We are not doubling our non-US exports in ten years because the only things the rest of the world really wants & needs from us, this government won’t sell them.*** Carney's climate fanaticism is going to be the final nail in Canada's coffin. What he should be doing is sitting down with the leaders of Cenovus, Enbridge and TC Energy, and asking them what they need from him to commit to Northern Gateway and Energy East.

Brown did a good job after the global economic crisis, and kept UK's borrowing costs in check much better than Sunak during his Covid borrowing spree. He's a good person to work on bringing down UK's borrowing costs and freeing up capital for investment in defence and energy.
