@LudovicLou34108 Okay, genius, VAR technology, can you tell me why the goal was disallowed and what the real reason was?

FIFA either stole the match or manipulated it in favor of Egypt or against Iran. Now I understand why VAR exists—to allow FIFA to manipulate match results. Can someone explain this to me? FIFA is corrupt and its president must be held accountable. There is clear manipulation.

@Skurlover @FIFAWorldCup @USMNT While you’re asking. If a throw in goes directly into the goal with no one touching it after the throw, it isn’t a goal. It becomes a goal kick or a corner depending on who threw the ball and which goal it went into.

Help me out here, because I’m truly curious. On a throw inbound, offsides just doesn’t apply? @FIFAWorldCup @USMNT

@oidonhagouda They both officiated very well. The female was outstanding and the male was correct in trying to stop the players going to their coaching staff while an injury was being attended.

Two referees have been heavily criticized during this World Cup. On the left is a female referee who has faced backlash for some of her decisions. On the right is a referee from El Salvador who has been accused of extremely one-sided officiating, including preventing players from taking water and making several questionable calls. Which of the two do you think had the worse performance overall? I’m curious to hear different opinions on this.

@remarkmarketing However at least we may not be bombarded by dumb Americans who don’t understand the rules and then whine when they lose in the last few seconds of a game. As well as their inane suggestions of how to improve the game. Nah u fucked it by having advert breaks.

Turkey player was offsides, goal shouldn’t have counted. #FifaRefs in turkey USA game we’re terrible.. blew the whistle exactly at the end of extra time in first half when USA had momentum. But turkey gets a whole extra mins how is that not BS.

@samueldemoraes3 Your opinion is wrong. You can have a wrong opinion if you like but it’s still wrong and that means you’re wrong. Learn the rules.

@dannykoh68 @MuteBeJammin @BleacherReport @FOXSoccer That’s who I’m referring to. Offside position not interfering in this phase of play. Then when he receives the pass to him from which he scores he starts in an onside position. This is the second phase of play. If it’s too complicated for u perhaps football isn’t the sport 4 u.

@dannykoh68 @MuteBeJammin @BleacherReport @FOXSoccer He was stood in an offside position but ball didn’t go near him nor he interfere with defender. That’s phase 1. His teammate receives the ball & plays it in across for him to score that’s phase 2, a different phase & for that pass he was onside before the pass was made Goal good

@RhysDRFC @gov_fails Not a good result but more importantly not a bad result. It’s the league stage of the competition and not losing and finishing top is all that matters at the moment.

@Brightonian_ No Pickford pulled out and to the side and their player came in late completely missing the ball and clattered into him. Different angle made it clear. Initially I thought free kick, possible red.

Pickford and England unbelievably lucky there. Pickford clattered him, nowhere near the ball. Surprised VAR didn’t even check it, argument for a red.

Why was Miguel Almiron shown a red card and handed a one match ban for covering his mouth while speaking… Yet Jude Bellingham did the same and stayed on the pitch? What am I missing?

@Trentvilla1 I thought it a penalty but I can understand why VAR didn’t intervene. The defender has managed to reach his leg across the attacker and the defender would’ve made contact with the ball had the attacker not made contact with the defender. It’s weak but we know how VAR is.

I said it real time last night this was a penalty, I found it mind blowing the commentary team just pretended it didn’t happen. We got away with one last night, its as clear a pen as you’ll see. #england

@CraigNorenbergs You show your ignorance. Football is absolutely huge in China from a fan viewing perspective with estimates of up to 300million football fans but their grassroots level participation is poor in comparison. India 🇮🇳 is cricket, it’s fanatical.

Unpopular opinion. LOVE the World Cup. Festival of fun. Humanity at its best. However... In one month... huge parts of the globe go back to following their #1 sports, putting football/soccer on the backburner. Importantly, it's not the top sport in India and China.

@Perfectly_Laura Not quite true Laura. There were plenty instances of Scot’s giving banter out towards England. It’s what we do. You lot just don’t really understand the fierce rivalries there are across Europe. The closest thing was your Civil War, north v south.

@NikkiNic9384 Hydration breaks for 30seconds maybe only in games where the temperature is extremely hot but 3 mins across all games is not needed and completely changes the games, not in a good way. It’s just a way of getting commercials in and you lot are too dumb to realise.

Why are people pissed about hydration breaks in soccer? ⚽️ Is this not normal? Is this just a WC thing? Doesn’t seem like a bad thing to have a hydration break especially considering it’s summer here 🫠

@villama2 @PeteFiutak He could play in Europe but not at a top club in a top league. One of the best ever but he’s plying his trade in MLS for a reason.

He can’t play in Europe is total BS. He would still dominate as he did all his years there. The real answer is money and tactics. A player like Messi requires a team with a tactical setup to support him, because he doesn’t defend or press. No major club in Europe would overhaul their roster with the right players to make that happen for a player in his late 30’s. And the major clubs are the only ones that can pay the large salary he commands. The MLS was able to make it happen because of the lucrative deal they made for him, giving him a massive salary as well as cuts of the TV subscriptions, as well as future ownership stakes in the team. They also brought 4-5 of his teammates/friends that are known to work their socks off for him on the field. So it’s the combination of financial strength plus willingness to make the required tactical adjustments that made MLS the best fit in his particular situation and status.

Stupidly honest question from a stupidly honest guy (at least when it comes to football/soccer) If Messi is really still THAT/this good, why is he playing in the MLS?

@Angiebabes999 Not there for 20+ years and only qualified because the bar has been lowered so much. I sincerely hope you have a good run and enjoy yourselves but let’s not get silly. England have a decent chance but our dreams are dashed every 4yr. With no dreams we have nothing.
