"Now we know the wet market was not the source, it was the amplifier." -- Anthony Fauci, January 26th, 2020 US officials not only knew the wet market wasn't the source by then, they knew the Chinese had gamed the wet market test. open.substack.com/pub/taibbi/p/a…

This is the thing that really grinds my gears. The people who bleat on about Islam being the “religion of peace” are terrified of showing a picture of Big Mo. Why? Because they know the someone from “religion of peace” will want to kill you for doing it. And what’s worse is there are people out there who would actually say you deserved to die for showing a damn picture. They don’t say Muslims need to grow the fuck up and stop being so sensitive. No, they blame the victims for daring to do something they themselves are too afraid to do.

🚨You can feel the entire room tense the second Laurence Fox says he’s about to show a drawing of Mohammed. The Oxford Union goes dead quiet. People start interrupting. Someone’s already reaching for the rules. You can hear the intake of breath. They’re not just uncomfortable… they’re scared.

It's official. We now have a Queen of the North. Us Labours have worked so hard to get our Bev Craig in as Mayor of Manchester. They even taught her how to sound & act more local to tick all the Number 1o North boxes. Defo no northern cliches here 🧐

Seriously if you have lost the Guardian its over. Jason Arday and the structure in Academia which allowed this to pass through unchallenged has damaged Academia, Sociology, and every black & working class students & academic that struggle through the system which keeps them out. Make no mistake the fault here is the White middle class liberal controlling who is allowed in their sacred spaces. And Arday was allowed through because they saw him as unthreatening & unchallenging theguardian.com/education/ng-i…

@MurielMbe @redrumlisa @MaxiMumMother Stop the press!! Feminist found the woman angle!! Yawn. You do know that the entire academic chain of idiots that promoted this idiot up the academic chain.. ..were women operating on feminine principles, right.?

@redrumlisa @MaxiMumMother Did this man plagiarise a woman’s work? Someone said he did. Why does his rights trump hers? He should be cancelled for that alone. Piggybacking on a woman’s work is disgraceful.

@redrumlisa "the system which keeps them out" ...wtf.? This 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 is one of gates flung open and keepers absent. That is the story here, not half-wit Arday - that the "systemic barriers" narrative we have been fed is not only 𝙪𝙣true; it is the 𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙚 of true.

@ch_mar_ray @wasnt__me_ He just doesn't show any other signs of 'rationality', though.. I'm not convinced the whole "unthreatening lost black boy" (the secret of his success, btw - it elicits sympathy from the legions of childless women in academia..) is an 𝘢𝘤𝘵 - he 𝘪𝘴 a lost-boy out of his depth.

@wirefiftytwo @wasnt__me_ I think there can be a certain amount of sociopathy to it too. Lying as just a rational tactic to benefit oneself. Related to low iq/bad culture.

@wasnt__me_ Ordinarily, I'd call it Cluster B, but I don't detect the classic conscious malicious Machiavellian scheming in this guy, as you see in, say, Kehinde Andrews - I think he probably is some flavour of Autistic/learning disabled.. ..the old clinical word for that was "Retarded".

@wasnt__me_ He doesn't know he's lying. It's actually kind of tragic - a large amount of the responsibility goes to the whole lifetime chain of individuals and institutions that have convinced the poor half-wit he's The Emporer in new clothes. x.com/wirefiftytwo/s…

@JohnHMcWhorter The saddest thing is, he, like Kendi, has been told so often, and for so long, that he is both fabulously talented and fabulously oppressed.. ..that he 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘵. He, and Kendi et al, will likely go to their graves convinced that 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 are the wronged.

You can just reduce the workload and create fake grievance studies majors that turns the kids that can’t handle the workload into full-time activists that command large salaries in the public and private sectors haranguing everyone about systemic racism and canceling anyone who won’t expand the pipeline for others of their kind following in their wake. Widows and divorcees of the large tech fortunes have already provided enough funding to keep them all employed for another generation.

The determination to admit unqualified students to elite universities hurts everyone - the students who then can't do the work and drop out, the more qualified students who got rejected, and the reputations of the universities themselves.

We used to have a medical word for "complex learning difficulties". 𝙍𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙙. That word is 𝙍𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙙. Mentally 𝙍𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙙. Can someone please tell me how being mentally 𝙍𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙙 doesn't disqualify you from a professorship at Cambridge University..?
Prof Ian Pace@drianpace

‘Although Arday did not dispute the allegations of plagiarism, he defended himself by saying he had received inadequate supervision and support, especially given his autism and “complex learning disabilities”.’ Ok. But that does not sound like a Cambridge Professor.

I really don't think "You're lucky we've got paid security to prevent you being murdered by Islamists for speaking at the world's oldest and most prestigious bastion of free expression" is quite the pro-immigration flex you think it is, love.
Basil the Great@BasilTheGreat

WOW. A student at the Oxford Union tells Tommy Robinson he is lucky they've put security on for him otherwise their Pro-Islam supporters outside would beat him to death This is the Oxford Union, how far it has fallen as an institution when this is the sort of argument made

@GregPankhurst @proamericapol @JohnCleese Dude. The results are in. We know the facts. And because sport is objective, you cannot argue with the stopwatch and the tape measure. It is OBJECTIVE FACT that elite Olympic and professional-level female athletes run/jump/swim/score... ...at the level of amateur 14yo boys.

@proamericapol @JohnCleese I think the 203rd ranked mens player is still one hell of a player. It was hubris from the Williams sisters, but I do think many males often over estimate the advantage their genetics gives them.

In 1998, Serena and Venus Williams said they could beat any man ranked outside the top 200 in the men's division. So, little known and 203rd ranked men's player Karsten Braasch took them up on the challenge. Braasch after a night of drinking and smoking with zero practice, destroyed Serena 6-1 and Venus 6-2 in straight sets. The Williams sisters are the greatest female athletes of all time. And they barely made Braasch break a sweat. It wasn't because Braasch was very good. He wasn't. But, as a male, he possesses biological advantages even the best female athletes can't compete against. That's the very reason we established women's sports to begin with. To even the playing field. That shouldn't be controversial. And you shouldn't need a biology degree to understand it.
