@YourFavPetsName@saraforwi Don’t worry you still get to play in the game, since she has a decent paying job you get to be a contributor to this and get nothing in return. Thank you for your service of being net positive in funding this!
Wisconsin just became the 49th state to expand postpartum Medicaid coverage from 60 days to one year. As a nurse and a mom, I know how critical those first months are for new parents.
As governor, I'll keep fighting to make health care affordable and accessible for every Wisconsin family.
BREAKING: I just signed the bill to extend postpartum coverage for Wisconsin moms from a lousy 60 days to one full year after giving birth.
I promised I'd never stop fighting to make sure moms and babies had the postpartum care they need, and today, I delivered on that promise.
@onlinesportsguy@Jody93710638 If I understand you correctly. Less of everyone in the country paying for this? And you want the Wisconsin tax payers to pay more because of this?
@wiscomale@Jody93710638 State vs federal… obviously, both come from tax revenue. However, the federal contribution is going to impact Wisconsin without further state intervention
@wiscomale@KingliestOfJews@Matthew_MKE@GovEvers Your average joe does not pay enough in taxes to fund those necessities. Even if I kept my taxes, I wouldnt t be able to afford one year salary to stay home. As a collective, we can pool our money together, and take care of our families! I have no kids, but that’s ok with me!
@Jody93710638@wiscomale Well, the current presidential administration is driving up the taxpayer funded portion of BadgerCare more than this bill ever could dream of.
@fuxckss@Matthew_MKE@GovEvers No helping moms is not where I get mad. PTO and disability are normal if you get a decent job. If you choose not to do so it is not my responsibility to make up for your poor choices.
@wiscomale@Matthew_MKE@GovEvers You’re acting like PTO + disability is normal. It’s not. Most people don’t have that. Funny how we’ll throw billions at stadiums and corporations no problem, but helping moms for a year is where you get mad. Priorities are off.
@Cassi0piea@andieiamwhoiam@grok@GovEvers Here I’ll answer it since you need it spelled out. No, would rather have people be more responsible and not have the government bail them out of their poor choices time and time again
@andieiamwhoiam@grok@GovEvers You still haven’t answered my question bitchface…
Would you rather have uninsured mothers popping out more children they can’t provide for?
@whotfisdave_@Matthew_MKE@GovEvers I can agree with this. You look at the replies I’ve got and it’s a lot of attacks. This is what they want. Us against us instead of looking at the bigger picture and us standing up to them
@wiscomale@Matthew_MKE@GovEvers I agree. I'd love to not pay taxes and have it go to things I disagree with but the only way that stops is if a large portion of the population collectively stops and is on the same page, which is unlikely to ever happen.
@wiscomale@KingliestOfJews@Matthew_MKE@GovEvers Bro, just shut the fuck up. You’re literally paying to bomb Iran, and other countries. That money will not be refunded to you. Instead, you’re bitching and whining that you have to help your fellow American. Shame on you.
@whotfisdave_@Matthew_MKE@GovEvers Or they just don’t take your money? Why not make these social programs optional to pay into? Maybe if people weren’t taxed at every turn of life they wouldn’t need social programs
@wiscomale@Matthew_MKE@GovEvers If I'm paying money into my government I expect some type of actual return on the investment, other than a check once a year. So yeah, I think that because we work CONSTANTLY and are getting nickel and dimed at every corner, we should all get some time off.
