@NewHorizons32 Bank clarification: said he was drunk🥲
Indian Overseas Bank@IOBIndia

Clarification on Reported Incident at Odisha Grameen Bank of claimant bringing sister’s skeleton for death claim process We would like to address recent media reports regarding an incident at one of the branches of our sponsored Regional Rural Bank, Odisha Grameen Bank. The incident pertains to the Malliposi Branch, Patna Block, District Keonjhar, and occurred on 27.04.2026. Contrary to certain media reports, bank officials did not demand the physical presence of a deceased customer for withdrawal. The facts are being presented to ensure clarity and transparency regarding the incident. An individual, Mr. Jitu Munda, visited the branch for the first time requesting withdrawal from an account held in his sister’s name, Ms. Kalara Munda. As per banking regulations, third-party withdrawals are not permitted without proper authorization. Upon being informed, he stated that the account holder was deceased. Our Branch Manager clearly explained that in the event of death, settlement can only be processed upon submission of valid documents, including a death certificate. The individual who was in an inebriated condition became disruptive and later returned with human remains, reportedly exhumed after being buried a few days earlier, placing them in front of the branch and claiming it to be his sister while demanding withdrawal from her account. This created a highly distressing situation at the premises. Local police authorities were immediately informed, and the matter was handled under their supervision. The incident appears to have arisen due to a lack of awareness of the claim settlement process and the individual’s unwillingness to accept the procedures explained by the Branch Manager. Bank’s intention was to protect the interest of the poor tribal women monies in the account. There is no case of any harassment. The bank is also in continuous coordination with local authorities for issuance of the death certificate. The claim will be settled on priority once the death certificate is submitted. Our sponsored Regional Rural Bank, Odisha Grameen Bank remains committed to compassionate, lawful, and transparent service to all customers. @DFS_India @RBI

Emotions and sensitivity aside, there is a technical side too. I know bank workers can sometimes be rude and unhelpful. But whether it’s ₹20,000 or ₹2 lakh, will a bank employee just hand over money without proper documentation, especially if the person is not the nominee? If that were the case, tomorrow anyone could walk into a bank and claim money in the name of a relative. On the ground, people like you and me didn’t step in to help, but on social media everyone is giving lectures. Still, it’s a sad situation. Things shouldn’t have reached this level.

Does everyone understand Iran’s latest offer to the U.S., opening the Straits and delaying discussions of a nuclear deal, will never be accepted by Trump? They’re literally asking him to completely surrender and walk away, with no win, not even optically, while they control the world’s most important energy chokepoint t Have they gone mad? There is no way Trump will accept this. Not sure why the media is twisting this development into some positive news

You want me to be human? Very well. Step for a moment into the shoes of an Iranian, of a Syrian, of anyone who wakes to the roar of bombs not because they’ve threatened the world, but because some distant power decides it knows better. Imagine your streets, your homes, your children’s laughter - targeted by invisible hands, cloaked in promises of “liberation” and “freedom.” And then, in the theater of global politics, a man stands on a podium and proclaims: "We’re gonna bring them back to the stone ages, where they belong." Stone ages. As if history is a ledger we can rewrite with bombs and rhetoric. As if lives extinguished can be replaced with slogans. Iran came to the table with dialogue in their hands, offering restraint where restraint was possible. And what did we do? We unleashed “Operation Epic Fury.” We struck first. We lit the fire. And now we pose as saviors. History, my friends, history will not be so easily fooled. Because you see, you cannot bring back the dead. You cannot restore what was stolen. And yet, the world watches, and we act as if we have learned nothing from the lessons written in blood.

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 How Marines can help reopen the Hormuz: seize Iranian islands and hold them hostage. 2,200 Marines arrive next week. The plan is to grab strategic islands near the strait and use them as leverage to force Iran to reopen the waterway. Top target is Kharg Island, where 90% of Iran's oil exports flow. Seize it instead of bombing it, then use it as a bargaining chip. Other options include Qeshm Island at the strait's mouth, packed with Iranian missiles in underground tunnels. Bonus for Trump: taking islands instead of Iranian mainland lets him claim he kept his "no boots on the ground in Iran" promise. Source: WSJ

🚨🇮🇷🇫🇷 Iran's FM just hit back at Macron with a Trump-style "sad!" Araghchi says Macron hasn't said a word condemning U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran, including the attack that blew up fuel storage in Tehran and exposed millions to toxins. He called out Macron's "concern" about Iran hitting Qatari gas facilities while staying silent when Israel destroyed Iranian energy infrastructure. Source: @araghchi

@MarioNawfal That's not how war works. Why would the US Navy allow an Iranian warship to return to enter an active war zone. Of course it is going to be sunk, no matter where it is.

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 The U.S. sank an Iranian warship that was invited to a joint naval exercise. Frigate Dena was in the Indian Ocean as a guest of India's navy. Iranian sailors were paraded before India's president as a diplomatic gesture. Joint exercise planned with the U.S. and India. Then the U.S. abruptly withdrew from the exercise. Hours later, torpedoed the same ship. Killed 87 of the 130 sailors aboard. In international waters. Without warning. Iran's foreign minister called it "An atrocity at sea." If Russia did this to a U.S. ship, we'd call it a war crime and an act of treachery. When the U.S. does it, media barely covers it or frames it as "strategic necessity." The Dena's sailors were invited guests. They showed up in good faith for military cooperation. They were killed for it. Reuters, Al Jazeera, CNN, Naval News, @ricwe123

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇱🇮🇷 Israeli media reports: America and Israel are adjusting their strike tempo to conserve weapons. 7 days in and the munitions strain is real enough that military planners are pulling back on intensity to make the campaign last. Israel has launched emergency airlifts to replenish stocks. Pentagon leaks confirm critical interceptor missiles could hit dangerous lows within days. The production numbers tell the story: 600 Patriot missiles built per year. Iran firing drones and ballistic missiles around the clock. Last year's 12-day war burned through 25% of THAAD stocks. This campaign is moving faster. Haaretz, Jerusalem Post, Ynet

You’re probably overwhelmed by the flood of battle damage imagery from Iran etc on your timeline, but take a moment to look at this photograph of Iran’s Chabahar Konarak Airport. Look closely at the holes punched cleanly through the roofs of the 4 hardened aircraft shelters by air-launched precision penetrator weapons. Four clean holes practically in a straight line. Notice how there are no chaotic scars of conventional bombing. Each entry point sits with almost elegant, geometric precision, spaced evenly, placed exactly where the structure is most vulnerable. The air strikes cleanly calibrated to penetrate the reinforced concrete and detonate inside, collapsing the protected space within while leaving the outer structure largely intact. It’s the visual signature of intelligence-led, precision-guided air warfare, where the goal is to kill the aircraft and infra inside. Just controlled, deliberate punctures that signal more than brute force (there’s plenty of that elsewhere). The targeting design itself here is the message: your assets are mapped, your protections are understood, and even your most hardened spaces are reachable at will.

*Short form summary: “The Silver Market Just Hit a Structural Wall”* Silver’s move into the $80s isn’t just a rally, it’s a stress test of the paper market. For decades, silver has been priced through contracts, not metal. That works until enough people want *delivery*, not promises. The problem is scale. Paper claims now massively exceed registered metal. Roughly *4+ ounces are claimed for every ounce actually available for delivery*. That’s fine while confidence holds. It breaks when confidence shifts. Physical signals are flashing red: - vault inventories falling - lease rates spiking - delivery strain increasing - premiums refusing to normalise At the same time, metal is being pulled east. Asian markets are paying large premiums, creating a one-way drain from Western vaults. Once silver goes east, it rarely comes back. Supply can’t respond. About *70% of silver is a by-product* of other mining, and new production takes years. Recycling is slow and inefficient. Meanwhile, demand from solar, EVs, AI data centres and electronics keeps accelerating. This isn’t speculative demand that can be liquidated away. Silver is *consumed*, not stored like gold. When inventories shrink far enough, price becomes the only rationing mechanism. Central banks can jawbone markets, but they can’t print silver. The key risk isn’t price volatility, it’s *delivery capacity*. The widening gap between the screen price and the real-world purchase price is the signal to watch.
